Just recently, Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun were both considered incredibly successful and well-respected figures, and it’s honestly a bit shocking to see where things stand now.

Sydney, a popular actress known for her role in the HBO series Euphoria, received Emmy nominations and secured numerous sponsorships thanks to her success.

Scooter Brown was a highly successful music manager, famous for discovering Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande and working with many other popular artists.

Yet now the pair are arguably as synonymous with scandal as they are with their glittering careers. 

Interestingly, if you start typing ‘why is’ followed by a celebrity’s name into Google, it now often suggests ‘cancelled’ as a possible search query.

Sydney is facing scrutiny over her political beliefs, with reports that she privately supports views associated with Donald Trump’s ‘MAGA’ movement causing a strong reaction from those on the liberal side.

Honestly, it still drives me crazy thinking about it! Scooter just *went for it* and bought the rights to Taylor’s first six albums – the ones that basically *made* her! Can you believe the nerve? However, Scooter is a Democrat and supported Hillary Clinton, even hosting a fundraiser for her at his house in 2015.

Last year, he publicly supported Kamala Harris and shared photos of them together, expressing how proud he was to be friends with her.

He also criticized Donald Trump after the President attacked Taylor Swift for supporting Kamala Harris.

Even though they’ve been rivals for years, Scooter quickly defended the singer by sharing a post from Donald on Truth Social that said, ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!’ He then playfully responded with a reference to Taylor’s song, ‘Shake it off Donald’.

Taylor could also find herself dragged into Scooter and Sweeney’s romance.

Taylor Swift’s fans have disliked Scooter Braun for years, ever since he bought the rights to her early music catalog in a deal estimated to be over $300 million.

Since then, Taylor has openly fought against him, stating she attempted to buy the original recordings but was denied the opportunity. She also accused him of consistently using manipulative and bullying tactics.

As a huge Taylor Swift fan, I was absolutely thrilled to see her take control of her music! After losing ownership of her original recordings, she bravely re-recorded those albums. And just this year, in May, she managed to buy back the rights to *all* of her music – it cost a reported $360 million, but honestly, it was amazing to witness her reclaim her life’s work!

After news of Scooter and Sydney’s relationship surfaced, some users on X (formerly Twitter) joked that Sydney Sweeney might be intentionally stirring up controversy to promote herself.

I’ve always found Sydney Sweeney both entertaining and skillful at ruffling feathers, so I’m genuinely surprised by the rumors about her dating Scooter Braun. She’s managed to shock me, and I didn’t think anything could!

Last year, Scooter stepped down from managing musicians to concentrate on his new positions at Hybe – as a board member and CEO of Hybe America.
