It was surprising to learn that even the person who killed Bradford was motivated by a loss – the death of a coworker that could have been avoided. In a typical post-apocalyptic story, people are often cruel, but Link’s group is different. Annie begins to believe that even after everything she’s experienced, good people still exist.
