Why Pauley Perrette really left NCIS and probably won’t ever return
As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours binge-watching TV shows, I can say with certainty that Pauley Perrette‘s departure from NCIS was as unexpected as a level boss you didn’t see coming. The revelation about Mark Harmon’s dog and the fallout that followed was like finding a glitch in the matrix – something you never wanted to know but couldn’t ignore once it was there.
While many fans dream of Pauley Perrette reprising her role as Abby in NCIS, it seems quite improbable given the circumstances. Regardless of Mark Harmon’s departure from the show, the chances remain slim for a return by Perrette.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but reflect on the emotional finale of our beloved series after 15 seasons. Although we knew Patterson was leaving, the specifics were a mystery. The final episode hinted at a permanent departure for her character, Abby, who miraculously survived an attack that left her in a coma. However, even after recovering, she decided to part ways with the team, choosing to step back from the action and adventure we’ve come to cherish together.
As someone with years of experience in the entertainment industry, I can attest that personal choices are crucial in shaping one’s career trajectory. In this instance, Cote de Pablo’s decision to depart from NCIS was undoubtedly a significant turning point in her life and professional journey. The circumstances surrounding her exit were not ideal, but it’s essential to remember that every artist has the right to make decisions that prioritize their well-being and creative growth. In my opinion, Cote de Pablo demonstrated great courage and conviction by standing up for herself and following her heart.
Pauley Perrette left NCIS due to Mark Harmon
In the 15th season, a significant conflict arose between Mark Harmon and Pauley Perrette. Mark’s pet dog, unfortunately, bit a crew member on set. The incident required 15 stitches for treatment, which angered Perrette as she felt the event should have been prevented.
At first, Perrette remained silent regarding her decision to depart from the show. However, following her departure, she posted a sequence of cryptic tweets that suggested some issues behind the scenes. She expressed concerns for the safety of crew members and also advocated for anti-bullying initiatives.
The dog-related incident was validated by EP Charles Floyd Johnson, revealing that even after the initial attack, Harmon continued to bring the dog to set. However, Perrette felt it was hazardous for everyone’s safety. Harmon expressed differing opinions, leading Perrette to believe that if her concerns were being disregarded, the environment wasn’t suitable for her.
Pauley Perrette will not return to NCIS
In due course, Perrette made it clear she has no plans to rejoin the series. She kindly requests fans to cease inquiring about her return.
Although Harmon departed from the show, it appears that the situation remains unaltered because he continues to be part of the series off-screen. Moreover, Harmon’s role extends beyond the set as he also contributes to the origin story, titled NCIS: Origins.
Perrette expressed that she felt deeply anxious around Harmon, often having disturbing dreams related to their circumstances and his potential aggression towards her. She finds the environment unsafe and prioritizes her psychological well-being above all else.
