Why Oasis WILL ‘absolutely’ come to Australia on their long-awaited reunion tour
As a long-time fan who has followed Oasis since their early days, this news about their reunion tour has sent me into a state of pure euphoria! I still remember the days when “Wonderwall” was played on repeat and the Gallagher brothers were the epitome of rock ‘n’ roll cool. The thought that they might be performing together again is almost too good to be true.
This week, the Gallagher brothers from Oasis, specifically Liam and Noel, stirred up a frenzy among their followers with the news of their eagerly anticipated joint concert tour.
After thirty-four years since their initial performance, the esteemed Manchester siblings have decided to end their fifteen-year long public dispute and reunite for a joint performance once more.
As a connoisseur of all things entertainment, I must say it’s quite exhilarating to announce that the iconic rock band, which famously disbanded in 2009 following an unfortunate backstage altercation, will be gracing stages across the United Kingdom and Ireland next year. The anticipation is palpable, as fans eagerly await their return to the limelight.
In their announcement, Oasis hinted at preparations for an international tour, yet they’ve kept quiet about the specific countries they intend to perform in, keeping Australian fans guessing eagerly.
Nevertheless, a show business insider has disclosed his certainty about the likelihood of Oasis making an appearance in Australia during their eagerly-awaited reunion tour.
On air at 3AW Melbourne, I confidently shared my thoughts that the esteemed rock stars are undeniably making their way to our shores by the close of 2025.
He suggested that their statement essentially guarantees a tour of Australia, and he believes they might also visit America, possibly including some shows in Asia as well.
Without a doubt, I believe they will be here by the end of the next year. It’s incredible to think about it, but the rift between them appeared so profound.
He mentioned that you can examine the scheduled dates, it appears there is ample opportunity for them to include numerous additional performances in the UK before making any further announcements.
His remarks follow the surge of Australian fans on social media, urging Oasis to schedule a series of concerts in Australia in the past few days.
One enthusiastic supporter posted on platform X, “Your most ardent supporters are in Australia; we’re eagerly anticipating the arrival of Oasis in Sydney and Melbourne.”
1. “Another fan of Oasis expressed enthusiasm by asking, ‘Are you planning to visit Australia, the big guys?’ Meanwhile, a third individual hoped, ‘I truly wish you would record a new album and perform a tour in Australia.'”
1. One exclaimed enthusiastically: ‘Oh, Australia! I implore you, grant my wish and visit Australia!’ Another pleaded earnestly: ‘I fervently hope that you will return to Australia again.’
In the 90s, when they were extremely popular, Oasis didn’t shy away from playing shows in Oceania. They indeed stopped by in 1998 during their Be Here Now Tour, following their massive worldwide chart success.
Fans were thrilled when they visited Australia once more during the 2001 Heathen Chemistry Tour, and they made a comeback Down Under again in late 2005 for the Don’t Believe the Truth Tour.
In the year 2025, the Oasis siblings, along with their original guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, are scheduled to perform at 14 concerts across the UK and Ireland. It is anticipated that ticket sales will be incredibly high, creating a fierce competition reminiscent of a ‘blood-bath’.
First, they will initiate the events at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. After that, they will fill up Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley Stadium, Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, and Croke Park in Dublin.
Contrary to the buzz about Oasis appearing at Glastonbury in 2025, the band eventually dismissed such speculation and clarified that they won’t be gracing the stage at Worthy Farm.
On Tuesday, the iconic band revealed details of their Oasis Live 25 tour, stating: ‘After a long silence, the stars have come into perfect alignment. The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived. Join us, as this spectacle won’t be broadcast on television.’
Upon the announcement, the Oasis website abruptly stopped functioning due to an overwhelming rush of excited fans. Music industry experts forecast that the upcoming tour tickets would be snapped up in under three minutes.
Fans who registered for the pre-sale lottery stand a chance of getting early access to the tickets, which will become available before they go on sale for everyone on Saturday at 9am British Summer Time.
Over 4 million people are anticipated to compete for the 1,066,888 tickets distributed over the 14 concerts. Insiders at The Sun report that as soon as all tickets are sold, additional concert dates will definitely be scheduled.
On August 27, 2009, a single day prior to marking the 15th anniversary of their much-discussed separation, Noel and Liam made a touching declaration about getting back together.
Their final joint performance took place at the V Festival in Staffordshire, and just a few days after that, they pulled out of their main act at the Rock en Seine festival due to a fight backstage.
At that moment, Noel expressed, “I’m announcing my departure from Oasis with a mix of sadness and immense relief. Critics may speculate as they wish, but I couldn’t bear to work alongside Liam for another day.”
Over the past few years, Liam, now aged 51, has expressed a strong desire to reconcile with his elder brother and revitalize their legendary Britpop group. However, his brother, Noel, who is 57, seems unenthusiastic about this proposal.
However, following his £20m divorce from Sarah MacDonald last year, it is reported that he has now been convinced by the potential financial benefits of reuniting the band.
As reported by The Sun, the duo collaborated on a clandestine photo session intended to publicize their upcoming performances.
