Just a few days following its premiere, a gripping three-part documentary about the lives and heinous crimes committed by infamous British serial killers has taken the top spot in Netflix’s TV Top 10. The streaming platform launched this chilling series recently.
As a fellow enthusiast, I can’t help but recommend checking out “Appropriate Adult,” a BAFTA award-winning drama available on Netflix, if you’ve already finished your current series binge.
First aired on ITV in 2011, this two-part series explores the distressing circumstances leading up to the West family arrests and the ensuing investigation. It pays special attention to Janet Leach, the designated adult present during Fred’s interrogations who was tasked with ensuring appropriate procedures were followed.
The story revolves around the life of ordinary housewife, Janet Leach, who undergoes a significant change when she gets involved in an unusual situation: being asked by the police to support a man they’ve arrested – notorious serial killer Fred West.
Dominic West stars as Fred, while Monica Dolan plays Rose and Emily Watson portrays Janet.

Netflix’s fresh documentary series titled “Fred and Rose West: An English Nightmare” likewise explores Fred West’s heinous killings of at least a dozen women, such as his daughter Heather, whose remains were discovered beneath the patio of the West family residence in Gloucester in 1994.
Investigating where Heather’s body was found led to the discovery of a string of violent rapes and murders committed by Fred, many of which implicated his spouse, Rose, in some way or another.
