In a past time, Caroline Stanbury was well-known for being a prominent figure in London’s high society, regularly attending lavish events in Mayfair, and maintaining a close friendship with Prince Andrew.
However, the star of Ladies of London has announced that she has no plans to reside in the capital again, due to what she describes as a rampant increase in street crime.
As a die-hard enthusiast, I can’t help but express my deep concern over the current state of affairs in England. It’s heartbreaking to share that each of my friends who’ve recently traveled there has fallen victim to muggings. Frankly, it’s hard to comprehend and feels completely unbelievable.
Each visit I make, I don’t carry any belongings or jewelry with me, not even my handbag. I’m uneasy about bringing my handbag along.
‘I don’t want to live like that. Who wants to live like that?
‘What’s the point of having all this stuff if I can’t use it?’
In 2014, Caroline, who was 49 at that time, gained prominence on the reality TV show Ladies Of London. However, it was not widely known that she had relocated to Dubai about four years prior to this, having moved there with her partner, a Turkish financier named Cem Habib.
The couple had three children before divorcing in 2019, though Caroline remained in the Gulf.
In 2021, she tied the knot with 30-year-old former Spanish footballer Sergio Carrallo, often referred to as her ‘toyboy.’ The newlywed pair rose to fame as prominent figures on The Real Housewives of Dubai, which debuted in 2022.

In a stark contrast, Caroline points out, life in UAE is nothing like what we’re used to. ‘Shoulder this costly Birkin bag,’ she says, hinting at one of her bags that can go as high as £10,000, ‘and leave it in the mall here, I can assure you it will be there upon my return.’
A lady who peddles previously owned Birkins in London recently relocated, and just yesterday, after a round of golf, she carelessly left her handbag atop her vehicle for a couple of hours before returning. Remarkable, isn’t it?
‘We couldn’t do that for two minutes [in England].’
Mystery of Cabaret’s missing millions
Nicole Scherzinger, known for her dazzling skills as a singer, dancer, and talent show judge, might consider venturing into scriptwriting now – perhaps drawing inspiration from the Broadway show and the mysterious disappearance of millions as a potential new project.
The situation arises due to an unexpected legal dispute initiated by investor James Lorenzo Walker Jr., who has taken action against the producers of the Cabaret At The Kit Kat Club. Despite generating over $90 million (approximately £66.4 million) since its April 2024 debut, the show is reportedly preparing to close, leaving Walker and other investors, according to his claims, without receiving a penny in return.
Walker asserts that they have been subjected to large-scale misuse of investor money, which is allegedly being hidden through intricate structures set up to obscure earnings and redirect payments.
The producers retort that his claim ‘lacks any merit’.
It’s quite possible that Scherzinger will find this interesting. She previously appeared in the production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard, which garnered full houses – however, it concluded its ten-month run in July, resulting in a £4.5 million loss, as I mentioned last month.
Simon swaps Duran Duran for a (very) crowded house

Offer a prayer for Simon Le Bon, the Duran Duran singer, and his model wife Yasmin, as their £5 million London residence is filled to capacity with multiple generations of their family.
The daughters, Amber (age 36) and Saffron (age 33), are still living at home, and moreover, they’ve brought their partners and children into the household. Specifically, Saffron resides in a cottage in the garden with Benjamin Compston and their three kids, while Amber, having recently given birth to a son in January, lives in the main house along with her partner, Ben Mercer.
Also still at home is the couple’s youngest daughter, Tallulah, 29.
At The Whiteley in Bayswater during the Nela London launch, Simon, aged 66, experienced a tranquil instance. Accompanying him was Yasmin, who is also 60 years old.
He mentions that they all reside with us, implying we play a significant role within the family’s care system or parenting apparatus.
He adds: ‘It’s quite nice because we don’t have to make any decisions.
‘We just play with the kids and then hand them back to their parents.’
Snowdon’s birthday serenade to lover

The Earl of Snowdon has found happiness again – and he isn’t afraid to sing about it.
Cousin of King Charles, David, celebrated Isabelle de la Bruyere’s birthday at the Nela London launch held at The Whiteley in Bayswater. On this occasion, he presented her with a chocolate cake. (108 words)
David, aged 63 and now divorced from Serena since 2020, might have picked up some of his theatrical panache from his deceased mother, Princess Margaret. Known for surprising palace attendees with spontaneous performances, even if she wasn’t always pitch-perfect, she likely passed on this charismatic trait to David.
Tony Porter, the founder of London Fashion Week, a promising competitor to Paris and Milan, has passed away at the age of 90. Reflecting on his legacy, Porter recalled, “We had incredible designers. I couldn’t understand why there wasn’t an event like this here.” Known for selling dresses to notable figures such as Twiggy, Marianne Faithfull, and Mia Farrow, Porter declared another 1960s icon as his greatest inspiration – Brigitte Bardot. “She left me speechless…,” he admitted, clearly smitten.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I find myself resonating with Rick Astley’s recent decision to ditch flying. At 59, the “Never Gonna Give You Up” singer embarked on an epic 28-hour road trip from Italy to Britain, a journey he describes as both monumental and slightly insane. This lengthy voyage seems to have been a turning point for him, spurring a desire to embrace a different lifestyle with greater control.
Rick shares that there have been notable changes in his life which prompted this shift. He expresses the allure of having more autonomy over his daily experiences. The pop star also recalls harrowing aviation incidents such as a shut-down engine mid-flight and being struck by lightning during a flight in Japan, an event he acknowledges was ultimately fine but certainly didn’t feel that way at the time.
Embracing this new lifestyle change, Rick Astley is choosing to navigate his journey on four wheels rather than cruising through the skies. His decision serves as an inspiration for those seeking more control and a connection with their travel experiences.
