Ben Shephard filled in for Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show today following a sudden change in plans. After wrapping up Good Morning Britain, Kate Garraway and Paul Brand introduced Kelly, who was in the studio to preview what viewers could expect.
Instead of the regular host, Shephard greeted the guests, which worried fans who were wondering where Lorraine Kelly was.
Lorraine doesn’t look her best this morning, to be honest,” Garraway said with a laugh, turning to Ben Shephard and asking, “What are you up to?”
Kelly couldn’t give her presentation because she lost her voice after having a sore throat earlier this week, Shephard explained.
As you know, Kate, I don’t have all the details, but Lorraine’s voice has been declining throughout the week, and it’s gotten quite bad, unfortunately.

Later in the show, Shephard playfully told viewers not to worry about any picture issues, and then explained that Lorraine was feeling unwell.
We’re all hoping Lorraine feels better quickly and are sending her lots of love and wishes for a fast recovery.
During Tuesday’s show, the host confessed her voice sounded awful while speaking with Susanna Reid. Reid suggested she might need to ask Dr. Amir Khan for something to help her throat, noting she seemed to be losing her voice.
Kelly responded: “It’s terrible. I know, it sounds awful… It’s really strange.”
She later expressed her gratitude to Dr. Amir for the ginger tea he gave her during the show, saying it helped her feel much better.
