Taylor Swift is famous for hiding clever “easter eggs” in her music and other work, subtly suggesting what she has planned for the future – she doesn’t do anything without a reason! It’s all part of the experience for her fans.
Similarly, the release date of her upcoming album, The Life Of A Showgirl, is being given special attention, particularly the date itself: October 3.
Fans don’t have much longer to wait! The American singer, 35, is releasing a new album with 12 songs. The names of all the tracks have already been announced.
Taylor chose this date for the release because it appears to be personally significant for her, and also carries symbolic meaning.
Taylor has previously noted that 13 is her favourite number, and 3/10 adds up to 13.
Even though the number is commonly seen as unlucky, Taylor explained that throughout her life, she’s experienced many coincidences and good things connected to it.

This covers things like being born on the 13th of any month, becoming 13 years old on Friday the 13th, and her debut album achieving gold status in just 13 weeks – and those are just a few examples.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m always fascinated by how couples meet! Taylor recently shared the story behind her first date with Travis on the New Height’s podcast, and it’s surprisingly simple. She explained that the date was easy to recall because it was 10-3. Isn’t that sweet and memorable? It just goes to show you don’t need an elaborate story – sometimes the simplest moments are the most significant!
Constantly irritating. They always attempt to shoehorn the number 13 into any scenario, and this time the opportunity presented itself immediately.
She also shared with MTV News: ‘I was born on the 13th of the month. Interestingly, I became 13 years old on Friday the 13th. And, my debut album achieved gold status after 13 weeks.’
My very first song to reach number one had a surprisingly long, 13-second introduction. And it’s strange, but whenever I’ve received an award, I’ve always been sitting in the 13th seat, the 13th row, or the 13th section. Even more oddly, I’ve also been seated in row M – which, as the 13th letter of the alphabet, continues the pattern.
‘Basically, whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it’s a good thing.’
October is a significant month for the internationally renowned artist, as they have launched five previous studio albums during this month.
Furthermore, Taylor Swift has launched five of her studio albums in October. Her debut album, Taylor Swift, along with Speak Now, 1989, Red, and Midnights, were all released during this month.

October 3rd is also National Boyfriend Day, which became a talking point last year when Taylor Swift released merchandise related to a song inspired by her fiancé, Travis Kelce.
The date is close to several birthdays within his family. His mother, Donna, celebrates hers on October 9th, while Travis’s birthday is on October 5th, and his niece Wyatt was born on October 2nd.
Another thing fans have noticed is that October is celebrated as ‘Mean Girls Day’, and Taylor likely expects her followers to be familiar with this connection.
This moment is a nod to a famous scene from the beloved movie, where Lindsay Lohan’s character, Cady Heron, is asked by her crush, Aaron Samuels (played by Jonathan Bennett), what day it is.
This connection arises from Taylor Swift’s song Mean (2011), which was later performed by Amanda Seyfried, one of the film’s actors.
