Footy fans are hoping Darcy Moore will propose to his girlfriend, Dee Salmin, after the Brownlow Medal ceremony in 2025. Some have playfully described Salmin as ‘ultra-woke’.
Collingwood’s star defender went to the AFL awards night with his partner, a popular Triple J radio host, who wowed everyone with her stunning gown. The dress was beautifully detailed with delicate beading, sparkling sequins, and unique floral designs.
Fans immediately noticed the athlete’s outfit looked very much like a wedding look, leading many to playfully suggest he should propose to his partner.
People commented on the couple’s wedding-worthy outfits in the comments section of the 29-year-old’s Instagram post, which featured a photo of him and Dee at the fancy yearly event.
‘Giving wedding vibes just saying,’ one person wrote.
Another chimed in: ‘That dress is stunning. I thought they got married!’

‘What a beautiful couple. You both scrub up nicely,’ one fan sweetly penned.
Darcy and Dee made a striking impression at the Brownlow Medal ceremony in Melbourne on Monday night, and it wasn’t just because of what they were wearing.
Before the event, the couple posted a set of very posed photos on Instagram. They both looked quite serious, leading fans to question if they would even smile.
Moore looked stylish in a black Oscar Hunt suit featuring satin lapels. He kept the rest of his outfit simple with a black turtleneck and polished leather shoes, creating a clean and sophisticated look.
A small brooch on the Collingwood captain’s lapel gave him a touch of classic style and elegance.
Dee showed up looking like a ‘sea witch,’ wearing a striking white dress with a revealing keyhole neckline.
Salmin styled her blonde hair in a tight bun, which highlighted the dress’s striking shape. She kept her accessories simple and completed the look with bronzed, radiant makeup.
The tall, elegant couple posed for photos in front of peach-colored curtains. One picture captured the radio personality looking up at her much taller boyfriend, who was gazing back at her with a serious expression.

Salmin has developed a reputation for speaking out about her very ‘woke’ views.
Last July, she offered a very progressive explanation for why she doesn’t want to live with the captain of the championship-winning Collingwood team.
Salmin presents the sex education program ‘The Sunday Hook Up’ on Triple J radio, and she discussed their relationship on the ABC show ‘Ladies, We Need To Talk… Back’.
She explained that she and her partner aren’t currently living together, and they both lead very separate, full lives.
‘We get to have so much of what we had when we were still single in our relationship.
‘But I wonder how much you can actually upkeep that when you do end up living together.
‘So much of it is hetero-dynamic learnt behaviours you might fall into.’
Essentially, she used those five words to show that she and Moore don’t fit the traditional expectation that women should do most of the housework and childcare in a relationship.
Yumi Stynes, the show’s host-a TV star who now works in radio and is also an author-supported her, arguing that living together creates boring, unromantic routines. She questioned whether Salmin believed all couples should avoid living together.
‘I’m going to be doing it for as long as possible,’ Salmin said.
I also told my partner that I’d like to have separate bedrooms if we ever live together. It’s really important to me.
Salmin explained that it’s crucial to prioritize self-care and personal growth. You can’t rely on your partner to fulfill all your needs.
