Why Death in Paradise’s season 15 finale isn’t on TV tonight! Here’s when and where you can watch it

Last week’s episode of Death in Paradise introduced a mysterious new character, Eloise (Avah Cotterell), as the niece of Mervin (Don Gilet), hinting at a dramatic season finale. However, the BBC has announced that the last episode of season 15 will now air a week later than originally planned, so we’ll have to wait a little longer to see how that story unfolds.

I was a little bummed to hear that my favorite show won’t be on tonight, but it’s for a good cause! Instead, they’re showing Comic Relief: Funny for Money, which is a great fundraising event. It’s on from 7 to 10pm. Good news though – Death in Paradise is coming back on Friday, March 27th! And even better, Beyond Paradise is starting its fourth season that same day at 8pm, so I’ll have two shows to look forward to!

Unlike past delays, the final episode of Death in Paradise won’t be available on BBC iPlayer tonight. Instead, you’ll be able to stream it at the same time it airs on TV next week – Friday, March 27th, at 9pm.

The last episode will reveal more about Mervin’s family. The preview at the end of the previous episode hinted at a difficult situation for the detective: just after distancing himself from his brother Solomon (Daniel Ward), who is now in prison, he’s approached by Eloise. She asks him to help clear her father’s name, appealing to his emotions as her newly discovered uncle.

Mervin thinks he needs to be honest with Eloise about her father, implying he’ll reveal the truth about the legal case. But viewers will have to tune in to see how Detective Thomas, who keeps his feelings hidden, handles this difficult family situation.

What to Read Next

Things are getting complicated for Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) in Beyond Paradise. The show’s description hints at a difficult choice he’ll have to make, one that could dramatically impact everyone at the police station.

So, the new trailer dropped, and it looks like the big mystery this season revolves around budget cuts at the Shipton Abbott police station. Apparently, Humphrey’s going to have to make the incredibly tough call of deciding who gets laid off. Talk about a difficult situation!

Humphrey and Martha are starting their life together as a married couple and are looking for a new house, so they’ve decided to sell their boat.

This season on the BBC, viewers can expect some unusual and intriguing mysteries. The storylines include the investigation of a novelist’s death – a death the novelist actually predicted – a strange incident involving a traditional Morris dance, a reappearing stolen treasure map, and reports of a possibly vengeful mermaid seen off the coast.

You can watch “Death in Paradise” and its spin-offs, “Beyond Paradise” and “Return to Paradise,” on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
