Actor Daniel Mays, from the show The Thursday Murder Club, discussed the reasons for his feelings of unease while working on the movie’s set.
In the Netflix adaptation of Richard Osman’s debut novel, the performer known for “A Thousand Blows” takes on the role of Detective Chief Inspector Chris Hudson.
When discussing the film’s characters, Mays noted: “What makes this entire movie special is that the source material, the book, is a captivating read. Being given such a treasure to work with as an actor is truly remarkable.

“I felt real ownership of Chris Hudson before I even set foot in rehearsals.
In simpler terms, the foundation of this character’s personality revolves around food, and this connection drew me in significantly. Consequently, we decided to design a bulky fat costume for the character, although it’s not very comfortable to wear. This costume captures the essence I aimed to portray with the character’s creation.

He mentioned that since the original content is very popular, there’s some degree of expectation, but he expects everyone to enjoy watching the movie.
