At a recent show, the management team behind the country music duo Brooks & Dunn provided further insights into the reasons behind Ronnie Dunn’s sudden departure from the group.
A spokesperson for the Grammy-winning duo famous for “Neon Moon” and “Brand New Man”, who was interviewed by USA Today on Monday, shared that 71-year-old Dunn wasn’t feeling well due to illness when he cut their encore short on Thursday. The performance took place at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis while Brooks & Dunn were performing there.
Matt Malone, a radio host, captured Dunn’s sudden departure on video and posted it on TikTok on Friday. In the video, Dunn is seen jamming along with Kix Brooks and their bassist while they play their popular country tune “Boot Scootin’ Boogie.” After urging fans to join in by singing the song, Dunn looks at the bassist, signals that he’s finished for the night, and then makes his way to the stage edge. There, he extends his arms to the crowd, taps his hand over his heart, and waves goodbye before exiting the stage. That’s all there is to the video.

Music
The highly productive singer-songwriter hailing from Texas is on the brink of launching his first album with a major record label, marking his 15th studio effort.
Ronnie, feel well,” Malone wrote alongside the video that received over 86,000 likes. “Thank you for sharing everything you had with us!
Brooks & Dunn emerged in the late 80’s and quickly became well-known and highly regarded for numerous songs such as “Hard Workin’ Man,” “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone” and “Cowgirls Don’t Cry.” This country music duo boasts two Grammy Awards and an impressive collection of Country Music Assn. and Academy of Country Music awards, amounting to numerous accolades.
Even though Dunn departed from the show prematurely on Thursday, sparking worry and rumors about his wellbeing, Brooks & Dunn continued with their performance. As reported to USA Today, “The show went ahead as scheduled on Saturday night.” They graced the stage at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
In November, the duo Brooks & Dunn unveiled their newest album titled “Reboot II”. They still have three concerts left for their New Moon tour this month.
