Why Aaron Thorsen’s Return in The Rookie Season 8 is a Must for Fans!
In season 7 of The Rookie, it was conspicuous that Aaron Thorsen, a former rich kid turned cop who had been accused of murder and was a regular for three seasons prior, was absent. His sudden departure from the show was quite surprising considering his significant storylines in the past. There seemed to be little reason given for his character’s transfer from Mid-Wilshire division to the North Hollywood Division of the LAPD, and he is only mentioned infrequently by other characters on The Rookie.
Aaron’s journey as a rookie showed immense potential, suggesting he could become an exceptional officer similar to Celina. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to witness this development fully, but there remains hope for the future. In season 8, it would be fitting to reintroduce Aaron’s storyline, allowing us to explore his growth further and give him the justice he deserves in terms of character development.
The Door Is Open For Aaron To Make A Return
His Transfer Allows Him The Opportunity To Make An Appearance
In the aftermath of season 6, there were whispers that I might have parted ways with The Rookie, but it was eventually clarified that I merely transferred to another division. Although I’m no longer working alongside the main cast, it doesn’t mean my days on the show are over for good. Despite having left the series, I remain very much alive and kicking, leaving open the possibility of a future comeback. At this moment, I’m taking a brief hiatus before making my grand return to the screen.
Previously, Aaron experienced intense emotional hardships, culminating in him being wounded at the end of the season. It’s understandable that he needs space for personal development, but this doesn’t necessarily mean he won’t return. However, his absence has left fans intrigued, demanding some clarification about his off-screen journey.
It seems peculiar that a character who appeared consistently for three full seasons on “The Rookie” would be absent from the next one. If Aaron doesn’t reappear, it might leave viewers feeling like they invested so much time in this character without seeing any payoff. We’ve watched him grow and make significant strides during his tenure at Mid-Wilshire, and it would be intriguing to see how he utilizes those skills in a different precinct.
Aaron And Celina’s Relationship Still Needs To Be Explored
Their Bond Is Unbreakable And Deserves More Screentime
In the rookie program, Aaron and Celina formed an exceptional connection that seemed to deepen beyond their professional ties. They were not only colleagues but also good friends, sharing pastimes like playing D&D and having heart-to-heart conversations about various topics. However, this special bond appears to have been overlooked in season 7, as Aaron was absent from the narrative. This gap between them at Mid-Wilshire is a plot point that deserves further exploration.
Prior to Aaron departing, he expressed his affection towards Celina. While she did not share those feelings, she valued their friendship enough to still put her life at risk for him. An uneasy atmosphere ensued following this revelation, yet it was predominantly caused by Aaron’s own discomfort. Celina chose to overlook it due to the significance of their friendship and her unwillingness to jeopardize it. To explore any potential romantic connection between them, Aaron needs to reappear in Celina’s life on the show, “The Rookie,” so they can gauge where they stand. For now, it may be more beneficial for them to remain friends, as there could be romantic possibilities down the line, but for the time being, they are best suited as companions within the series.
