Who left Strictly Come Dancing? Pete Wicks and Jowita Pryzstal get the majority vote after tense semi-final dance-off – as emotional former TOWIE star praises partner for being ‘a ray of sunshine’
As a devoted Strictly fan, I can’t help but feel a tinge of melancholy as Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał bid adieu to the ballroom dance floor. The Semi-Finals have always been bittersweet, but this time around it feels particularly poignant. Pete, who initially had his reservations about joining the show, has proven that he’s not just a reality TV star with a pretty face, but a man of heart and soul, willing to step out of his comfort zone for the love of dance.
In the eleventh episode of the competition, Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał were eliminated after their dance was judged against Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec in a dance-off during the results show.
Once more, the dance floors filled as Tasha and Aljaž glided back, executing their graceful Waltz to the soulful tunes of Aretha Franklin’s “You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman.
Then, Pete and Jowita performed their Argentine Tango to Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve.
Following our second dance, I eagerly awaited the judges’ decisions. To start, Craig Revel Horwood announced that he was preserving Tasha and Aljaž for another round.
In this rephrased version, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke not only voted for Tasha and Aljaž but also provided them with the most votes, effectively ending Pete and Jowita’s journey in the program.
Head Judge Shirley Ballas also agreed and said she would have decided to save Tasha and Aljaž.

When Tess inquired about his experience in the contest, Pete responded by saying: “It’s been quite a rollercoaster ride. Initially, I wasn’t really keen on participating [in Strictly], but others encouraged me to join and now I couldn’t be happier that I took part!
‘It’s not essential to be the top performer at everything, but if you find joy in something, then why not give it a try? Since day one, I’ve given my all, and when I commit, I go all the way. The experience has been nothing short of wonderful.’
Addressing his Polish dance partner Jowita, he remarked: ‘There are many valuable lessons I will carry with me from this experience, yet one of the most treasured is you personally. I truly mean this, for you are exceptionally remarkable – not only as a dancer, but simply as a person.’
You’ve been like a beacon of light for me. Over the past three months, you’ve supported me in ways I never thought possible, giving me the confidence to face challenges I once doubted I could handle. Your belief in me has meant more to me than any other thing.
Jowita expressed her gratitude by saying: “I simply wanted to say thanks, thanks for putting your trust in me right from the start.
Despite the challenges, your perseverance, dedication, and the incredible spirit within you have been instrumental in making you a weekly winner!
‘For me, every dance was special… even the Cha Cha in Blackpool!
On the first day, you mentioned that you wouldn’t stay in this competition for long due to your dancing abilities. However, I can now confirm that your skills have improved significantly, enabling me to say ‘Yes, indeed you can!’

On Sunday, the outcomes included not one but two captivating musical acts. Becky Hill showcased her strong single “Indestructible,” and Raye graced the stage with her mesmerizing song “Genesis, Pt. III.
The remaining four couples will take to the dancefloor next week for the competition’s Grand Final.
Each finalist will execute three different dances: their preferred number from throughout the season, a chosen piece by the judges, and an impressive exhibition dance.
On Saturday, 14th December, starting at 6:00 PM, the live final of Strictly Come Dancing will be airing on BBC One and iPlayer.
