Who is the new addition to Blake Lively’s squad? Meet the protégé joining her on red carpets amid legal dramas

To put it simply, the 37-year-old actress, who’s recently gained attention due to a judge dismissing the $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit brought against her by her collaborator Justin Baldoni on their project ‘It Ends with Us’, has been spotted with her niece Kate Johnson, aged 20.

Kate’s aunt is Robin Lively, who is 53 years old and Blake’s older sister, whereas her uncle is Bart Johnson, aged 54. Robin and Bart make up the married pair who are also parents to two sons: Baylen, at 22 years old, and Wyatt, who is 17 years old.

On Monday, Kate joined her well-known aunt at a prestigious gathering that Bryan Freedman, lawyer for Baldoni, labeled a stage in Blake’s ‘misleading triumphant journey.’ Notably, they bore a strong resemblance due to their nearly identical hairdos.

The pair sported attire with a comparable design; Blake adorned an elegant off-white lace dress, whereas Kate chose a beige coat paired with a white blouse and patterned brown trousers with checks.

Previously, Kate made an appearance at the New York City premiere of Blake’s return comedy “Another Simple Favor” on the red carpet on April 27th.

During this period, there was intense curiosity surrounding Lively, not only from the Baldoni group but also from her colleagues on the Amazon comedy, particularly director Paul Feig and her co-star (and high-profile actress) Anna Kendrick, who were both intriguing to many.

Last summer, Johnson was present at the premiere of Reynolds’ hit movie, Deadpool & Wolverine. He later posted a collection of images from that summer evening on Instagram.

She was extremely pleased with Reynolds and everyone else associated with the hit action-comedy, featuring cameos from Lively and a character rumored to be an unkind portrayal of Baldoni.

In the group of 351 accounts that Kate follows, you’ll find her aunt Lively and the beauty brand Blake Brown; also included are Reynolds and affiliated entities like the director of Deadpool, Sean Levy, and the soccer team Wrexham AFC, a part of which the actor owns.

It seems that Kate shares a fondness for ’80s music, as the artists she follows on social media include Wham!, Michael Jackson, Tears For Fears, Elton John, and Paul McCartney.

In addition, Kate is a fan of popular social media figure Lester ‘Beetlejuice’ Green, who initially gained recognition as a frequent guest on Howard Stern’s radio program.

On Monday, the Daily Mail contacted Kate through Instagram to request a comment regarding an earlier story suggesting that Blake had disregarded her during their weekend shopping trip.

During a visit to a store in New York City, Lively was alleged to have acted impolitely and arrogantly, as portrayed in a heated TikTok video.

On Saturday, TikTok user @imlandonanne shared that she encountered actress Blake Lively during a shopping trip at Stoney Clover Lane, and expressed surprise at her supposedly unfriendly demeanor.

Landon commented that it’s hard to believe she still has followers, given their interaction was truly unpleasant,” he stated about the actress from The It Ends With Us.

Landon asserted that Lively was apparently overlooking or not paying attention to everyone else present at the store, including her own children and her niece, Kate Johnson.

She suggested: ‘If someone continues to admire Blake Lively, they might want to reconsider, as it appears she isn’t particularly kind towards ordinary folks.’

Stoney Clover Lane, a newcomer in the market, characterizes itself as a ‘premium lifestyle and accessories brand aimed at adding delight and convenience to daily life.’ Representatives from Lively and Stony Clover Lane have been contacted by Daily Mail for additional insights on the story, but no response has been received so far.

A few days following the video’s unveiling, it was disclosed that Judge Lively had thrown out Vicente Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against Emily Lively. This decision, according to her legal team, was hailed as a ‘complete victory’.

In December 2024, the legal battle commenced as Lively claimed Baldoni had sexually harassed her in a court case. Meanwhile, Baldoni counter-accused Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane of defamation and extortion.

Speaking out after her momentous win on Monday, Lively expressed: “A week ago, I stood tall, joining forces with 19 groups who advocated passionately for the protection of women’s voices in matters concerning their security.” Lively shared this message on Instagram on Monday.

The former star of Gossip Girl concluded by expressing gratitude towards those in the public sphere, for their support during a challenging year.

In a heartfelt manner, expressing deep appreciation to those who have been supportive, Lively stated, ‘I acknowledge and am thankful for the multitude who have stood by me. Some of you are familiar faces, but many more are new acquaintances to me. However, I will always continue to cherish and champion each one of you.’
