Who is Teen from Agatha All Along? Teen's identity revealed

As a seasoned gamer and comic book enthusiast who has spent countless hours immersed in the vibrant world of Marvel, I must say that the latest twist in “Agatha All Along” has left me utterly intrigued! The revelation that Teen is none other than Billy Kaplan, aka Wiccan, is a mind-bending turn of events that even the most ardent Marvel fan could not have foreseen.

In the recently-aired “Darkest Hour, Wake Thy Power” episode of Agatha All Along, the central mystery that’s puzzled Marvel fans since the series debut was finally unraveled: who is Teen, the devoted Agatha Harkness fan portrayed by Heartstopper’s Joe Locke? Turns out, Teen has a curse that stops him from revealing his true identity. However, it appears that Agatha may have cracked the code: in the episode’s closing moments, she coldly tells him he shares many traits with his mother. In an abrupt turn of events, Teen employs his magical abilities to hurl Agatha, Jen, and Lilia into a treacherous swamp along the witches’ pathway, seemingly causing their demise. The final image of the episode is Teen staring intensely at the swamp while donning a crown strikingly resembling the one worn by Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, played in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by Elizabeth Olsen.

In simpler terms, we can say that it is revealed that Teen is actually William “Billy” Kaplan, also known as Wiccan in Marvel comics, who is the son of the Scarlet Witch. Billy’s backstory is quite extraordinary. Along with his brother Thomas, they were born from a wish made by Wanda Maximoff for a family. This wish was granted when she tapped into a large source of magical energy. Initially, their name was William Maximoff but later, they were taken by the demon Mephisto who erased them from existence.

In a peculiar twist of events, William and Thomas Maximoff are reborn into entirely new families as William “Billy” Kaplan and Thomas “Tommy” Shepherd. The circumstances behind this transformation remain unclear. Superhero comics can be perplexing to begin with, but when they delve into magic, the plot becomes almost inscrutable. Regardless, Billy eventually develops into the magical superhero known as Wiccan.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it’s possible that the portrayal of Wiccan may differ slightly. We were introduced to Billy and his brother during “WandaVision,” where they were created as part of the magical reality Wanda built to cope with her distress. However, they vanished when that reality collapsed at the end of the series. Yet, in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” Wanda found other versions of them from different parts of the multiverse. This suggests that there are realities where Billy does indeed exist. It’s plausible that the Billy we’re meeting in “Agatha All Along” hails from one of these alternate realities. I suspect he will be known as Billy Maximoff, not Billy Kaplan, within the MCU.

How did he come to be on the Witches’ path alongside Agatha in this world? What is his intention? Who cast the spell that prevents him from disclosing his true self? Did he truly murder Agatha, Jen, and Lilia? The final three episodes of “Agatha All Along” will provide answers. Don’t miss out; catch new episodes every Wednesday on Disney+.
