Who is Ronnie Taylor, the man who got into a physical fight with Reacher star Alan Ritchson?

Okay, so things got a little crazy this weekend! A man who got into a physical altercation with Alan Ritchson – you know, Reacher? – while in Tennessee is suddenly getting a lot of attention. It’s definitely a story that’s caught people’s eyes, and I’m seeing it everywhere!

Ronnie Taylor struck an actor after pushing him off a motorcycle, and the incident has gained significant attention, with bodycam footage confirming the details.

According to police reports published by The Daily Mail on Tuesday, Ritchson won’t face charges because he was acting in self-defense when he confronted Taylor.

But not much is known about Ronnie Taylor.

Now The Daily Mail can report he is a 56-year-old senior executive for KPMG USA in Nashville.

For over 65 years, KPMG has been a part of the Nashville community, with a team of more than 300 experts providing services in areas like auditing, taxes, and consulting. They work with leading companies throughout Tennessee in industries such as healthcare, entertainment, and manufacturing.

His LinkedIn profile shows he works at KPMG, and includes a photo of him with his wife. He also identifies as a British citizen.

At KPMG USA, Taylor works on partnerships with Google across financial services and life sciences.

His LinkedIn activity suggests a focus on technology partnerships and professional development.

His wife is Amy Taylor who is often seen on social media.

People who follow him on social media have criticized him for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

On Instagram he often shares photos of his dogs, sunsets, wine, his wife and his motorcycle.

Police announced to the Daily Mail on Tuesday that the actor known for playing Reacher will not face charges related to Sunday’s incident with his neighbor, Taylor.

According to investigators, the actor punched his neighbor in self-defense and then asked him to calm down.

A recently released bodycam video, shared on TikTok by Ritchson, appears to show Taylor starting a physical altercation. The video shows Taylor running into the street and then Ritchson pushing him off a Kawasaki motorcycle.

The star was with his two children when the incident occurred during the afternoon.

The Brentwood Police Department announced on Tuesday that their investigation into the March 22nd incident involving Alan Ritchson and Ronnie Taylor in Brentwood, Tennessee, is now complete. They worked with the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office on the case, according to a statement to the Daily Mail.

Based on evidence like videos and statements from people who saw what happened, officials have decided not to file criminal charges.

Investigators determined that Mr. Ritchson acted in self-defense. While there was a possibility of charging him with reckless endangerment, Mr. Ritchson chose not to press charges against the other party.

The District Attorney’s Office has agreed to close the case, so it won’t be investigated further.

The bodycam video provides a more complete picture of the events leading up to the violent fight between the two men.

Taylor, appearing upset, was caught on video walking up to Kaley Ritchson and her two children while they were riding motorcycles in their neighborhood.

Taylor walked out of his yard, across the sidewalk, and into the street just as the actor was riding his green Kawasaki motorcycle.

Taylor reportedly stood directly in front of the motorcycle, legs spread wide, and tried to prevent the rider from driving away.

That appeared to anger Ritchson, who then laid down his motorcycle and approached Taylor.

In a heated moment captured on video, Taylor angrily criticized Ritchson for driving recklessly, worried about the safety of the neighborhood kids.

The video footage showed the actor then angrily questioned his neighbor, asking if he’d been drinking and suggesting he was acting irrationally.

Okay, so this situation is definitely escalating! Apparently, during a disagreement, Ritchson actually told Taylor he should have driven his motorcycle into their neighbor – like, actually run them over. It’s shocking, and honestly, a really aggressive thing to say. It’s one thing to be angry, but suggesting someone intentionally harm another person is crossing a major line.

The actor mounts his motorcycle, puts his helmet on, and repeatedly revs the engine, clearly annoying Taylor.

Taylor could then be seen pushing the actor and his motorcycle onto the street twice.

Ritchson reportedly punched Taylor in the face repeatedly, and then told him to stay down.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Ritchson and Taylor for further comment.

TMZ has obtained an image of Taylor with bruises and cuts to his face after the fight.

The initial video of the altercation, taken from a nearby home, showed Ritchson seemingly hitting the alleged victim while two children – reportedly his sons – watched from their motorbikes.

The video shows the actor, who is 6 feet 3 inches tall and has publicly discussed his bipolar disorder, repeatedly hitting Taylor while she was on the ground.

Taylor explained to TMZ that the situation began on Saturday when Ritchson was riding his green Kawasaki motorcycle through their peaceful, affluent neighborhood.

Taylor claimed the performer was driving too fast, revving the engine loudly, and creating a disturbance.

The neighbor said he flipped Ritchson off, and the actor responded in kind.

The next day, around noon, Ritchson rode through the neighborhood again. This time, he was reportedly speeding while accompanied by two children riding their own bikes.

Taylor asked Ritchson, ‘Can you f*****g stop this please,’ which is when the situation escalated.

The man who reported the incident said Ritchson punched and kicked him in the face, according to his police report.

He said the actor fell off his bicycle, then stood up and tried to hit him with it.

Taylor claimed Ritchson struck him multiple times, including at least once in the back of the head.

He said neighbors saw what happened, and while he was bruised and swollen, he didn’t need to go to the hospital.

The video shows Ritchson retrieving his helmet and motorcycle after reportedly hitting Taylor.

He lost control of the bike, causing it to swerve onto the grass. At the same time, Taylor was seen picking something up and briefly approaching Ritchson before walking away. Ritchson then remounted his bike and rode off, with the two children following behind.

Alan Ritchson and his wife, Catherine, have three sons together. They met while taking a dance class in college and married in 2006.

His other television credits include Smallville, Blue Mountain State, Blood Drive, and Titans.

He’s known for his movie roles, including Raphael in the 2014 and 2016 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films. He’s also been in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013), Lazer Team (2015), and Fast X (2023).

In 2024, Jack Ritchson shared that he had struggled with suicidal thoughts in 2019, but thinking about his sons gave him the strength to keep going.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ritchson shared that he struggled with severe depression and had to complete editing his first film as a director, Dark Web: Cicada 3301, while confined to bed.

After the suicide attempt, he sought help from a doctor who diagnosed him with bipolar disorder.

I received a bipolar diagnosis shortly after that, and surprisingly, it brought me some relief. It was comforting to finally understand what I was going through and have a name for it.
