Who is Ekko in Arcane Season 2?

As a devoted fan who’s witnessed the rise and shine of Ekko from his humble beginnings in Zaun, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of admiration for this prodigious young man. From being known as “Little Man” to becoming the charismatic leader of the Firelights, his journey in Arcane has been nothing short of electrifying!

Ekko is a leader and an inventor from Zaun in Arcane.

In the city of conflict between Piltover and Zaun, named Arcane, Ekko stands out as a highly influential character.

In the opening scenes of Arcane Season 1, the character we meet is initially known as “Little Man” by Vi, Powder, Claggor, and Mylo. However, as the story unfolds, this young character develops significantly and is subsequently referred to as “Ekko”.

At the beginning of Arcane, Ekko is introduced as a 13-year-old prodigy who works in Benzo’s shop. While he doesn’t join Vi, Powder, Claggor, and Mylo on their missions, he frequently supplies them with valuable information – particularly revealing Jayce’s workshop location, which is later robbed by Vi and the gang, leading to an explosion.

Later, Ekko learns that Vander had struck a bargain with Sheriff Grayson. This agreement involved Grayson preventing Piltover enforcers from interfering in Zaun, on condition that Vander kept the residents of Zaun away from Piltover. However, the robbery effectively undermined this pact, as Grayson is now obligated to apprehend whoever created chaos on Topside.

At the end of Arcane Season 1, Act 1, when Silco establishes his empire in the absence of Vander, Ekko rises as a compelling leader among the oppressed Zaunites. At just 20 years old, he leads a group called the Firelights who persistently attempt to disrupt Silco’s Shimmer production.

Ekko instructs his Firelight associates to seize Vi upon her release from prison, as he had witnessed her in the company of Caitlyn, a Piltover law enforcer. However, it soon becomes apparent that Vi continues to stand for Zaun, and once their mutual intentions are understood, the two old friends embrace each other warmly.

Near the close of Arcane Season 1, the Firelights’ chief came perilously close to meeting his end when he faced Jinx on a bridge linking Piltover and Zaun. In contrast, Ekko managed to live on and encountered the ex-councilor Heimerdinger later at that same bridge. Ekko then guided Heimerdinger to the Firelights’ secret lair, leaving the inventor astounded by the enchanting allure of the location.

In the captivating world of Arcane Season 2, I found myself awestruck by Ekko’s ingenious inventions. Eager to witness the marvel that is the Hexcore up close, I joined forces with him and set off for the bustling city of Piltover. Together, we ventured forth, ready to uncover the secrets hidden within its towering spires.

Is Ekko in League of Legends?

Absolutely, Ekko is indeed a playable character within the game League of Legends. Riot Games introduced Ekko as part of the game back in May 2015.

Presently, the head of the Firelights remains a viable choice for players considering roles in Middle Lane or Jungle. Often referred to as “The Time-Breaker”, Ekko is one of the ten characters from Arcane who can be selected as playable champions within League of Legends.
