As a film enthusiast with a rich history of watching movies spanning decades, I find myself captivated by the recent buzz surrounding Keanu Reeves’ latest role in ‘Song the Hedgehog 3’. This man has transcended the boundaries of conventional stardom, becoming an icon who can seemingly do no wrong. His charm and charisma are undeniable, and his versatility as an actor is truly awe-inspiring.

This coming weekend, the renowned actor Keanu Reeves is set to captivate viewers with his newest on-screen appearance: portraying Shadow the Hedgehog, the broody counterpart to Sonic’s energetic persona, in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. In all likelihood, he’s secured himself a lifetime of goodwill and respect.

Besides me, many others are captivated by him too. Recently, Emma D’Arcy, who portrays Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen in the Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon, shared her thoughts on a potential buddy cop movie partner during an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. Without hesitation, she declared that her top choice would be Keanu Reeves. According to D’Arcy, this decision comes instinctively, and there’s no need to second-guess it – it’s simply Keanu Reeves.

Host Josh Horowitz from Happy Sad Confused inquired further about D’Arcy’s preferences regarding Keanu Reeves’ films. Their excitement was palpable as they listed some of their favorites: “My Own Private Idaho,” “The Matrix,” “John Wick,” and with a hint of enthusiasm, they added, “If that were real, a buddy cop movie starring me and Keanu Reeves!

It’s tough to dispute such an extensive list. I must admit, the idea of a buddy cop movie starring Emma D’Arcy and Keanu Reeves seems a bit unusual, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it can’t occur. If this collaboration happens, it might offer an opportunity for D’Arcy to present an aspect of themselves seldom seen in ‘House of the Dragon’, possibly showcasing a style more akin to their red carpet appearances.

I can picture this person in a John Wick-esque action spectacular, sure. Get on it Hollywood!

In the interim, D’Arcy prepares to don Rhaenyra’s silver-white wig and film the third season of “House of the Dragon.” It’s unlikely this season will air until 2026. Following its run, “House of the Dragon” will continue for one more season before concluding. After that, Keanu patiently waits for his turn.
