White Speed faces unpaid work allegations from cameraman, claims insider ties to IShowSpeed’s team

White Speed is once again receiving attention after a former cameraman and editor came forward with allegations.

Maba, who worked with IShowSpeed as a cameraman and editor during the beginning of his trip to Africa, shared a video on X claiming that IShowSpeed hadn’t paid him for his work. Maba identified himself as an assistant to IShowSpeed, also known as White Speed.

Maba said White Speed is able to find Speed by getting inside information from someone on Speed’s team, who is supposedly sharing details about where Speed is and where he’s going.

A breakdown of cameraman’s allegation against White Speed

Maba explained in a popular video—now with over 400,000 views—that he stayed with IShowSpeed throughout the entire time someone was following him around in South Africa.

Maba, a marketing agency owner, believed partnering with White Speed could help his business expand. He offered to help with stream sniping, but only if White Speed paid for all of his travel costs during the tour.

Maba supports White Speed in many ways, from managing live streams and getting SIM cards to acting as his cameraman. He often does this on very little sleep, as he also edits White Speed’s videos each night.

Although they initially had an agreement, White Speed wouldn’t reimburse Maba for his food and drinks, leaving him to cover those costs himself. Maba then asked if White Speed could promote his marketing agency by including its logo during Twitch streams, but that request was also turned down.

As a fan, I was really surprised to hear about the deal White Speed offered Maba. It was a 50/50 split of subscription money, which sounded good at first. But Maba later said it became obvious White Speed wasn’t interested in building something together. Apparently, he just wanted to profit and didn’t want to share any of the risks involved. It’s frustrating to see that kind of behavior!

Maba also noted a concerning pattern: White Speed often depended on local people to fund the majority of his costs. White Speed would typically only contribute a small amount and frequently avoided talking about money, which created uncomfortable situations where people felt pressured to agree despite their financial concerns.

A mole in IShowSpeed’s team?

Maba also claimed that during his time working with White Speed, he discovered someone on IShowSpeed’s team was secretly sharing Speed’s location with White Speed, without IShowSpeed’s knowledge or permission.

So, Maba’s saying someone on Speed’s team was leaking info during the Speed Does America tour! They haven’t said who it was, just that this person was traveling with Speed. I’m still waiting to hear what Speed himself has to say about all this, though – haven’t seen any comment from him yet.
