White Lotus Star Charlotte Le Bon Reveals Awkward Teen Sex Party Encounter That Inspired Show Scene

In The White Lotus, she captivated everyone with her performance as Chloe, a character known for her overtly sexual nature despite being involved with an older man.

Currently, Charlotte Le Bon disclosed that she almost experienced a true-life situation reminiscent of scenes from the HBO series – confessing her unintentional attendance at an adult gathering.

38-year-old French-Canadian actress shared that she was only 19 years old and had recently ended a long-term relationship when she encountered an attractive man, whom she described as tall and muscular, who invited her on a date.

On the Small Talk podcast, she mentioned that they had conversations over the phone, and as far as she remembers, they may have gone to a movie theater together one time, but there wasn’t any romantic development. The interaction was quite modest and proper.

However, matters shifted when he proposed she join him for a weekend getaway at a chalet, claiming it was for a “gathering”. In reality, he intended it to be a party with her friends.

En route, she found it surprising when he suddenly stopped at a drugstore to purchase condoms. This reminded Charlotte of the moment: ‘We hadn’t even shared a kiss yet, so I asked, “Aren’t you embarrassed?” He replied, “Better safe than sorry,” which I thought was a bit off-putting.’

Charlotte confessed that she wished to retrace their steps, but since they had already started their journey, it wasn’t possible. However, matters grew more bizarre upon reaching the chalet.

At the party, his former partner joined us, and he chose to engage in an intimate moment with her in the restroom, as she remembered it.

‘And then he goes upstairs with another couple of friends and they make love together – a foursome.

From where I was downstairs, I caught a glimpse and overheard some parts, as I was simply biding my time till the night passed.

The following day, I recalled heading back home, speaking harshly with him over the phone, and using rather disrespectful language, implying he was quite insensitive.

‘He apologised vaguely, but I think he was a little proud of himself.’

Charlotte did not know it at the time, but the incident was a case of life imitating art.

Shortly following her casting as Chloe in the third season of White Lotus, she received a script that included a chaotic group scene where one character seems reluctant to participate.

In the Thailand-set drama, Chloe romances enigmatic millionaire Greg ‘Gary’ White (portrayed by Jon Gries), but she develops a friendship with Aimee Lou Wood’s character, Chelsea, whom she believes shares similar sentiments.

However, the disparity in their sexual desires becomes evident as Chloe arranges a threesome involving brothers Lochlan and Saxon Ratliff, portrayed by actors Sam Nivola and Patrick Schwarzenegger.

The portrayed bedroom scene within the show has stirred up the most debate and generated numerous complaints from viewers.

Growing up, Charlotte asserted that she was somewhat conservative, even though she was brought up by two performers in the French-speaking city of Montreal, Canada.

She reflected: “When I first learned about oral sex, it made me feel queasy. I recall thinking, ‘That’s something I will never engage in during my lifetime.’

‘I didn’t want to have that information.’

Rather than projecting the alluring image she portrays in White Lotus, Charlotte admitted that she often felt uncomfortable with her appearance and had difficulties fitting in during her school years.

She said: ‘The cool guys talked to me, but I wasn’t invited to the cool parties.

As a teen, I conversed with almost everyone around, yet struggled to locate my circle of companionship. This struggle left me feeling somewhat lost socially during my youth.

Looking back at my middle school days, I can’t help but recall the feeling of being on the sidelines, while the beautiful girls seemed to be the ones everyone admired. Unfortunately, I didn’t fit into that category myself during those years.

Children might utter phrases such as, “We could potentially fracture your limbs, they’re as fragile as matchsticks, we could easily bend them,” or simply, “We could supposedly shatter your legs, they’re as breakable as matchsticks.

‘They would say, “You’re anorexic” even though it’s not true.

I made every possible effort to achieve stronger, fuller legs. At times, I’d put on two layers of trousers as an attempt to add a bit of thickness to my legs.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I found myself captivated by women sporting toned, strong calves – a sight that always struck me as stunningly beautiful. In my pursuit of emulating this look, I dedicated considerable time and effort into performing calf raises, aiming to achieve the same allure.

Even though Charlotte felt uncertain, at age 16, she ventured into modeling; however, she quickly discovered that she disliked the profession.

She mentioned that she was approached on the street, initially feeling a bit apprehensive, as she wasn’t keen on it right away.

My folks shared that this method would allow for swift financial freedom, enabling travel and such experiences. So, I embarked on this path in Montreal, but unfortunately, I disliked it intensely.

For the majority of my time, I found myself quite isolated. Over a span of seven years, I served as a model but never managed to form a romantic relationship, as it all felt hollow and unfulfilling.

I believe the role is incredibly impersonal. They seem to simply outfit you with a mask, photograph you, and apply makeup without considering your preferences.

They dress you in outfits without consulting your preferences, and snap photos of you in poses without ensuring your comfort first.

Ultimately, the final outcome – your likeness – is not yours to control, despite having no say in it or how it’s used. Regardless of any incentives or ideas I may have had, they held no influence on the creative process. In essence, you were merely a tool with little significance or worth.

However, it provided numerous opportunities for me, most significantly enabling my relocation to France. That’s where my journey started.

After short stays in Tokyo and New York, Charlotte moved to Paris in 2010. There, she began shooting commercials and later transitioned into acting.

Her first film role was in the 2012 French comedy Asterix and Obelix: God Save Britannia.

In 2014, she played the role of Victoire Doutreleau, who was Yves Saint Laurent’s muse, in the biographical movie “Yves Saint Laurent.” This performance earned her a nomination for a César Award.

In 2015, she provided the voice for Joy character in not only the French but also the Quebec French renditions of the Pixar movie “Inside Out.

In the year 2016, she acted alongside Christian Bale in the film titled “The Promise”, and also filmed the action movie “Bastille Day” with Idris Elba during that same period.

However, her captivating portrayal in the Mike White-directed series The White Lotus has made her one of the most discussed actresses across the English-speaking community.

Regrettably, Charlotte found herself subjected to jokes about her appearance, much like the bullying her English co-star Aimee experienced in a similar context.

Ever since I got that chip on my tooth at age five and left it untreated, I’ve been sporting what feels like a ‘pirate tooth.’ It’s a little quirk that I’ve carried with me all these years!

Yesterday, I saw a funny comment about my not-so-great teeth in a post.)

‘Someone wrote, “Oh my god, look at these terrible, terrible teeth, they look like an old fence.”

‘There are a lot of pictures where I’m on the red carpet and I’m terrified.

I absolutely dislike it. Moreover, there are numerous pictures of me on the red carpet, but my pirate tooth stands out awkwardly in each one.

While I may feel reserved at times, I appreciate her boldness. In essence, when I’m timid, she shines brighter on her own.

‘And even if I had perfect teeth, we’d find something else. There’s always something.’
