Which Ghostface Killed Each Victim In Scream 7

Spoiler alert! This article contains major spoilers for Scream 7.

Scream 7 brings back the classic mystery of the Scream movies: who is Ghostface? This time, there are three killers – Jessica, Marco, and Karl – working together, making the whodunit even more challenging for viewers. Unlike past films where the killings happened over several days, almost all the murders in this sequel take place in one incredibly chaotic night.

The shorter timeframe in Scream 7 makes it simpler to follow each Ghostface’s actions and figure out who committed the crimes. Details about where people were and what they were doing reveal more than the killers intended. The film also brings back Sidney Prescott, the iconic original survivor, who is once again being targeted.

Scott & Madison Were Killed By Ghostface Jessica

The deaths of Scott and Madison at Stu Macher’s now-infamous house – which has been turned into an Airbnb – heavily influenced the direction of Scream 7. The house is now a dark and unsettling museum showcasing both the Woodsboro murders and the fictional ‘Stab’ films that the couple were watching. Scott is repeatedly stabbed by what he thinks is a Ghostface dummy, and Madison tragically falls from a chandelier, landing on a knife held by the killer.

Although the movie never directly tells us who this Ghostface is, everything suggests it’s Jessica. Setting the house on fire fits her plan to deeply upset Sidney by destroying something that reminds her of a painful past. While Marco or Karl might have physically started the fire if Jessica told them to, the way it was done feels very personal and carefully planned, suggesting Jessica was the one behind it.

Hannah Was Killed By Ghostface Marco

One of the most shocking moments in Scream 7 is the murder of Hannah during a play rehearsal. Still wearing her fairy costume and hanging from stage wires, she is violently attacked. All signs point to Marco as the killer, considering who has been eliminated so far.

Jessica has a solid alibi for the time of the attack because she’s with her son, Lucas, who then becomes a person of interest. She willingly shares their location with investigators to prove Lucas couldn’t have been involved. Meanwhile, Karl is already inside Sidney’s house, having secretly hidden in the attic before the attack even started.

Okay, so Mindy and Chad checked the attic and there was no sign of forced entry. That pretty much confirms Karl’s been hiding up there for a good while, definitely before Sidney and the family left the school. Which means, if we think about it, Marco has to be the Ghostface who killed Hannah. It just makes the most sense now.

Aaron Was Killed By Ghostface Marco

Aaron, who worked behind the scenes at the school and managed the wire rig for Hannah’s act, died before Hannah did, but his body wasn’t found until after hers. It seems Marco was also a victim in the same attack. Jessica and Lucas are both still safe. Meanwhile, Karl, as we already know, is hiding inside Sidney’s house, planning to attack later.

Sidney, Tatum & Mark Were Attacked By Ghostface Karl

The scariest moment in Scream 7 happens when Sidney, Mark, and their teenage daughter Tatum are unexpectedly attacked at home. What makes it so frightening is that the Ghostface killer wasn’t breaking in – they were already inside, having secretly hidden in the attic. The surprise attack, combined with the killer’s familiarity with the house, makes the scene particularly terrifying.

Following a violent fight, the family manages to subdue the attacker, who runs out into the street and is hit by a car driven by Gale Weathers. When they remove his mask, the shocking truth comes out: the Ghostface terrorizing them is Karl, a mentally unstable serial killer fixated on the ‘Stab’ movies.

Mark Is Attacked By Ghostface Jessica

Later that night, Mark is attacked again, this time in the family garage. The attack is brutal and seems carefully planned. He’s stabbed and then kidnapped. Since Karl has already been revealed as the person found dead in the street, he couldn’t have done this.

That narrows the suspects down to Jessica and Marco. But Marco was at work at the psychiatric center when Sidney and Gale went to see him, and that location is a couple of hours away. Therefore, Jessica must be the one who attacked Mark at his house.

Chad & Mindy Were Attacked By Ghostface Jessica

Okay, so the attack in the kitchen at the Tavern – Chad and Mindy getting absolutely wrecked – that’s seriously one of the most intense scenes in the whole movie. It’s just a total frenzy of slashing and stabbing, and they’re both left seriously injured while Ghostface keeps up the carnage. And honestly, with Karl already gone, it completely takes him off the suspect list, which is… well, you figure that out pretty quickly.

While Tatum is being pursued by one Ghostface outside, the investigation focuses on the single Ghostface inside the Tavern, who quickly attacked Chad and Mindy and killed Lucas and Chloe. Knowing what we later learn about Lucas, Jessica must be the killer inside the Tavern.

Lucas Was Killed By Ghostface Jessica

Lucas’s death in Scream 7 was a major surprise. Ghostface brutally killed him inside the Tavern by repeatedly striking his head with the pointed end of a beer tap. Later, Jessica casually revealed that she believed Lucas needed to die because he reminded her too much of her abusive husband.

That unsettling statement strongly hints she was responsible for her son’s death. What’s even more revealing is how the crime scene was set up: Ghostface pauses after killing Lucas, seemingly watching him. This small detail suggests the killer felt something emotionally. Taken together, these clues point to Jessica as Lucas’s murderer.

Chloe Was Killed By Ghostface Jessica

Chloe dies during the same violent attack at the tavern as Lucas. Ghostface chases her through the bar and into the kitchen, where she is killed. Because the killings happen so close together, there can only be one Ghostface responsible for both deaths. Considering Jessica’s earlier remarks about Lucas, it’s likely she also killed Chloe.

Ben Was Killed By Ghostface Marco

Ben’s death happens right after he finds Tatum and tries to convince her he’s not Ghostface. He seems safe for a moment, but then he’s suddenly stabbed in the neck. By this point, Karl is already dead, and Jessica is busy attacking people at the tavern. This means Marco is the only one left who could have intercepted Ben, making him the likely Ghostface responsible.

Tatum Was Attacked By Ghostface Marco & Jessica

The attack on Tatum at the coffee shop is a key scene in Scream 7 that shows multiple Ghostface killers working together. Tatum is chased and then attacked in a long, suspenseful sequence. The timing suggests the first attacker was likely Marco.

Jessica is still tied up with her task at the tavern, which allows Marco to go after Tatum. But during the fight, another Ghostface appears and helps with the kidnapping. Jessica probably arrives on the scene around this time, joining Marco. This whole situation shows how the killers’ plan comes together in the climax of Scream 7.
