Interestingly, all four of the original “Karate Kid” films were initially distributed by Columbia Pictures. However, with these titles now scattered across different platforms, it suggests that they might have encountered rights issues, making it difficult for them to be consolidated under one license-holder. It’s also plausible that Hulu may not have shown interest in this movie due to its poor reception, scoring only 7% on Rotten Tomatoes and failing at the box office.
