The initial four-part series eventually grew into what is now recognized as The Amalgam Universe, where characters from both brands could engage in battles. This development led to some unusual and at times questionable pairings such as Bat-Thing (a blend of DC’s Man-Bat and Marvel’s Man-Thing) and Lobo the Duck (an amalgamation of Marvel’s Howard the Duck and DC’s Lobo).
Apart from the initial clash between DC and Marvel comics in 1994, titled “DC Versus Marvel“, the compilation book known as “The Amalgam Age Omnibus” also encompasses an eight-issue sequel featuring Access, the hero who brought about the Amalgam Universe. Additionally, it includes various standalone issues that followed.
