Where Is Good American Family‘s Natalia Grace Today?

The show, titled “Good American Family”, concludes positively after a challenging season. The final episode shows Natalia Grace (played by Imogen Faith Reid), who has a unique form of dwarfism, reunited with her siblings in the home of their deeply religious adoptive parents Cynthia Mans (portrayed by Christina Hendricks) and Antwon Mans (Jerod Haynes). After almost a decade of family turmoil, Natalia finds comfort next to her siblings.

Initially, the Mans family took Natalia in as their own in 2023, but soon after, she chose to leave their home due to finding them overly strict. Currently, she resides with another family.

Here’s a look at what happened to Natalia in the last couple of years and where she is now.

Why Natalia Grace left the Mans family

The television series, “Good American Family,” depicts Natalia’s journey. Originally raised in a Ukrainian orphanage, she encountered Kristine Barnett (played by Ellen Pompeo) and Michael Barnett (Mark Duplass), who first adopted her at the age of seven in 2010. The couple thought she was an adult, and they attempted to make her live independently. In 2012, an Indiana court altered Natalia’s birth year from 2003 to 1989, a decision that was eventually reversed in 2023 when she was legally adopted by the Mans family.

In the third installment of the documentary series titled “The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, broadcast in January 2025, it’s disclosed that Natalia experienced a rift with the Mans family. Contrary to their claims throughout the second season, the Mans family had suggested that Natalia never displayed aggression towards them. However, Antwon Mans asserts that she was expressing anger during a phone call to the production team, which is played in the final moments of the season.

As a die-hard movie fan, I’d rephrase it like this: I found myself at odds with the Manses when they attempted to cut off my online world, particularly my conversations with a beau in the U.K. (Initially, there were no plans for a third season, but they wanted to wrap up the story properly.)

This season, Natalia and her partner contacted Nicole DePaul and Vincent, a couple in upstate New York who had attempted to adopt Natalia back in 2009 but were unable to due to financial reasons. In a moment straight out of a film, Nicole and her daughter Mackenzie, also a little person, traveled to the Mans family’s church where they reunited with Natalia outside the building.

Since 2023, Natalia has been residing with the DePaul family. It took some time for this family of four to achieve a sense of unity. In the documentary series, Nicole remarks that Natalia’s arrival was analogous to placing a bomb inside their home. However, in an interview with People magazine on January 13, 2025, she stated that Natalia has never engaged in any violent behavior and that periods of ups and downs are inevitable.
