And good news for us – their upcoming films like Wolf Man, The Woman in the Yard, and Drop, Black Phone 2 are all being distributed by Universal. That means after they hit theaters, they’ll first stream on Peacock for four months. Then, they’ll be exclusive to Prime Video for ten months, before coming back to Peacock for another four months. Finally, they’ll become available on other streaming services too, which is awesome!

After the huge success of the 2021 film The Black Phone, director Scott Derrickson and author Joe Hill teamed up to create a sequel. Hill explained that the new movie drew heavily from the memorable images of the villain’s masks. Hill is accustomed to seeing his work adapted for the screen – his comic Locke & Key became a TV series, his novel NOS4A2 also became a TV show, and Horns was made into a movie.
