When is Severance season 3? Fans all want to know after “masterpiece” finale episode

The second season of “Severance” has wrapped up, ending with the climactic episode titled “Cold Harbor.” This shocking conclusion has left both Inners and Outers stunned, with their jaws dropping to the ground.

With enthusiasts of the record-breaking Apple TV+ series diligently unraveling hints, the burning query on everyone’s mind is centered around season three: When will we finally discover what lies ahead?

Considering the lengthy gap between seasons, approximately three years since the initial release, it’s understandable that viewers might feel slightly anxious about what to expect in the upcoming season.

Rest assured, season three of the show will be coming to our screens much sooner than waiting another three years, according to director and executive producer Ben Stiller.

Stiller clarified on the New Heights podcast that they don’t intend to postpone action for a span of three years.

“Hopefully we’ll be announcing what the plan is very soon.”

Additionally, Stiller pondered over the reasons behind the delay in releasing season two, recalling that filming was postponed because of the double impact of a writers’ and actors’ strike in Hollywood during 2023.

As a devoted viewer, I must admit it took some time for us to reorganize ourselves after the previous season wrapped up. The incredible production of season two spanned an impressive 186 days. Post-production work, particularly editing, can be quite lengthy, but fortunately, our loyal viewers were patiently waiting when we returned to their screens again.

The task was to make people who haven’t watched the series before tune in to the first season, and Apple managed this effectively by spreading the news widely. We also made sure to garner as much media coverage as possible.

It’s fair to assume that Severance has seen an increase in popularity since its comeback, drawing in more viewers, attracting new audience members who are catching up on the initial episodes, and even gaining listeners for its accompanying podcast.

On Instagram, many users are praising episode ten as a “masterful creation” and sharing their thoughts on Lumon’s mysterious intentions that appear to involve fragmenting consciousnesses.

In the episode titled ‘Cold Harbor’, directed by Stiller and penned by its chief storyteller Dan Erickson, we explored the scientific tests conducted on the character Gemma, portrayed by Dichen Lachman.
