The fifth and final season of Hacks is here, bringing both excitement and sadness for viewers as the acclaimed comedy series comes to an end.
If you’re planning to watch the new season and want to see the emotional goodbyes (whether they’re happy or sad!), viewers in the UK will have to wait a little longer. It’s scheduled to premiere next week on Friday, April 17th.
Fans already knew, thanks to a funny trailer (“she has risen!”), that the fifth season of Hacks would premiere on HBO in the US on April 9th. Typically shown in the UK on Sky and NOW, it’s now confirmed that the new season will also be available there, exclusively on Sky Atlantic and NOW, but one week later.

Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder will return as the hilarious pair at the heart of the show – Deborah Vance and Ava Daniels – for one last season. The new episodes will begin after the shocking ending of season four.
Despite reports, Deborah Vance is still alive. However, a large number of upset fans have already created a memorial outside her mansion.
What to Read Next
After false reports of her death circulated, comedy legend Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and her assistant Ava (Hannah Einbinder) head back to Las Vegas with a renewed focus: to solidify Deborah’s place in comedy history.
The trailer offered a first glimpse of Christopher Briney, known for his role in The Summer I Turned Pretty, in a guest appearance. Several new characters will also be introduced, played by Ann Dowd (currently starring in The Testaments, a spin-off of The Handmaid’s Tale) and Leslie Bibb (The White Lotus).

Fans will be thrilled to see Megan Stalter as Kayla and Paul W. Downs as Jimmy return for a final appearance.
The TV show Hacks has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, currently holding a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. As of right now, reviews for the show’s fifth and final season are perfect, with a 100% score.
While we can’t wait to see the new episodes, we’re also not quite ready for Hacks to be over.
Hacks season 5 premieres on 17 April on Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK.
