Wheel of Time Showrunner Reveals Shocking Season 3 Death You Won’t Believe!

showrunner Rafe Judkins explains why the series deviates from the books in Season 3.

Regarding the Season 3 finale, especially the status of main characters Moiraine (played by Rosamund Pike) and Siuan (portrayed by Sophie Okonedo), Judkins was questioned about their apparent fates. In response, he said, “The bond between them transcends this current situation. It’s a profound concept that we introduced in episode five, and it’s something unique to the ‘Wheel of Time‘ universe because it’s deeply rooted in the book series.

As a movie enthusiast, I’m excited to share that we’re crafting these characters’ journeys in such a way that not all of them will reach the climactic battle. This was a crucial decision for us, given the unfortunate history of lesbian characters meeting untimely ends on screen. We wanted to emphasize from the start that this relationship transcends their current lives and endures beyond any potential deaths. If our story continues, the bond between these two will not culminate in their final moments together. Instead, it’s a tale that signifies something greater, and we’re eager to explore more of it should the show proceed.

Based on Robert Jordan’s original and later Brandon Sanderson’s adaptation of “The Wheel of Time” series, this captivating production has garnered praise from both fans and critics alike. Initially, it didn’t receive universal acclaim upon its initial release, but it has managed to keep a solid audience base and consistently positive feedback after three eight-episode seasons. In the series, Pike portrays Moiraine Damodred, a potent member of the Blue Ajah, an order of women known as Aes Sedai who possess magical abilities. She is tasked with finding four young individuals, one of whom may be the reborn embodiment of the extremely powerful Dragon and the only possible savior for their world, as they face the imminent danger of the Dark One.

The Wheel of Time Concludes Season 3

For two decades, the secret surrounding Josha Stradowski’s Rand al’Thor as the reborn Dragon has been hidden, as Pike explained. She elaborated that such guarded secrets and life-altering disclosures are central to her character, suggesting that “Moraine prefers secrecy and is uncomfortable with openness, making her situation significantly more complex now.

The Wheel of Time is available for streaming now on Prime Video.
