Luke Fourniotis and Mel Akbay, who met on Married at First Sight, officially ended their marriage last month after a difficult relationship.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Pictures just surfaced showing that the groom, he’s 30, was actually meeting with another bride before he left the show! It’s like, a secret meeting! I can’t even with this drama, it’s insane! I need to know everything!
The farmer was spotted with Bec Zacharia, who has had a difficult and turbulent relationship with her partner, Danny Hewitt, throughout the season.
Bec and Luke seemed amicable while grabbing a bite at Camy’s Chicken, a shop near the hotel where the Married At First Sight cast is staying.
Luke, dressed in a T-shirt and white shorts, looked perfectly at home with the controversial bride.
Bec was seen grinning widely as she shared a joke with Luke, who she once called ‘cute’ on MAFS.
The 35-year-old account manager was dressed casually for her outing, wearing a white knit tank top, jeans, and sandals.
Wearing her hair tied back, Bec accessorised with a pair of attractive cream drop earrings.
At one point, the pair were seen carrying on a deep conversation as they waited for their order.
As a big fan of Married At First Sight, I’ve heard from a source close to the show that Luke and Mel really bonded with Bec and Danny during filming. They became genuinely close friends, which is so lovely to see!
Producers were reportedly concerned about the connection between the two cast members, as they had previously told everyone that romantic pairings shouldn’t spend time together off-camera.
This is because the show’s creators don’t like to miss any potential drama.
This news follows Mel and Luke’s recent decision to end their relationship, which they say was a friendly and mutual one.
‘I couldn’t have foreseen how hard this experiment would be,’ Mel told Luke.
‘I am really happy I met Luke, I hope we can stay friends, but I have decided to Leave,’ she added.
Luke agreed they could continue to see each other – just not romantically.
Shortly after filming finished, Luke told the Daily Mail about how difficult the relationship had been for him.
When asked whether he believed he had been paired with the right person, he did not hesitate.
‘I feel like the life just got sucked out of me by the match I was with,’ he confessed.
Luke previously shared that the experiment made him feel like a completely different, and much weaker, version of himself.
‘I lost my confidence and I just really didn’t like it,’ he said at the time.
Even though the public didn’t support his decision, he decided to remain, stating that he wanted to allow the professionals a chance to weigh in before quitting the show.
I wanted to end things with Mel on good terms and make sure the experience wasn’t remembered as a complete disaster.
He admitted that hearing Mel’s remarks in front of everyone made him feel particularly exposed and ashamed.
At the time, Luke remained hopeful they could strip their relationship back to basics.
‘Forget about intimacy, forget about romance,’ he said.
