Whatever happened to Australia’s ‘human Barbie? Woman with extreme surgery resurfaces and you will never believe what she looks like now

After a prolonged absence of several months, a Melbourne woman famed for her $200k extreme body modifications is back online.

Tara Jayne McConachy, often referred to as a real-life ‘Barbie doll’, shared an uncommon snapshot of her newest appearance this week on social media. She posted a picture of herself striking a pose at Mitchelton Wines vineyard located in Victoria.

As a connoisseur of aesthetic enhancements, I unveiled a refreshingly unique Wednesday Addams-inspired style on a recent Wednesday. My ensemble consisted of a crisp white button-down shirt paired with a sleek black tie.

Tara’s dark, thick tresses cascaded down her back, with a freshly-trimmed bang providing a frame for her face that had been subtly enhanced with makeup.

She finished off her gothic style by wearing a mini black skirt and patterned black tights, added transparency to her ensemble with see-through heels, and carried a vibrant fuchsia velvet handbag.

‘Bottled up but never contained,’ she captioned the image.

Tara’s supporters were taken aback by the unexpected post, considering her reduced activity on social media platforms in the past few months.

Recently, Tara’s last post on Instagram dates back to March, during her vacation in the beautiful Maldives. She published two pictures where she was relaxing at a local eatery, both showcasing her stylish summer outfits which were quite casual.

Prior to that, she’d last updated her feed in September 2024.

In the year 2020, an Instagram personality gained notoriety by featuring on the E! reality series “Botched.” This came after multiple breast augmentation surgeries (five in total), undergoing six rhinoplasty procedures, and countless sessions of Botox and filler treatments.

On a show based in Los Angeles, she made an appearance with the intention of persuading doctors Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow to increase her implant size.

She shared with the producers that everything appears small on her, except for her bust; she’s determined to increase its size.

She expressed her dissatisfaction, stating that the current volume of her silicone breast implants is 540 CCs, but she’s far from being content with them.

Tara mentioned that she had observed some wave-like changes on her breast skin, and she was hoping that increasing volume in that area might resolve the problem.

As a devoted admirer, I couldn’t help but feel my heart sink when the doctors shared that she weighed a dangerously low 45kg, which meant she was simply too slender to accommodate larger implants – a fact that left her crestfallen.

‘I’m really concerned about Tara’s overall wellbeing’, Dr Nassif said.

Beyond the scope of surgical procedures, it’s crucial that she works towards achieving not only physical wellness but also mental health.

Tara declared her determination to preserve and further improve her stunning measurements of a 37-inch bust, a 17-inch waist, and a 29-inch hip size.

She has no bounds regarding plastic surgery, finding it extremely captivating. Moreover, she’s already expressing a desire for larger breast implants.

Once international travel resumes, I intend to return abroad to consult with my surgeon about enhancing the size of my breasts to approximately 1500 cubic centimeters (currently at 1050cc).

In today’s contemporary world, it’s crucial that women can openly share their emotions and have the freedom to define and demonstrate what beauty means to them, as she shared during an interview with The Morning Show last year.

As a devoted enthusiast, I express my transformation through plastic surgery, which brings immense joy into my life. This process empowers me with confidence, allowing me to strive for the optimal version of myself that I am proud to be.

In August 2021, she featured in the sensational documentary series by Todd Sampson titled “Mirror Mirror,” which focused on a band of Australians who were fixated on plastic surgery.

In the program, Tara referred to herself as a “specialized, high-end version of a Barbie doll,” and at the same time expressed dissatisfaction about her D-sized breasts being insufficient.

In the show, Tara likened herself to a “premium, unique Barbie doll” and spoke critically about her D-cup breasts not being big enough.

‘I think I want to get my boobs bigger,’ she said.
