Julian Fellowes has teased the possibility of a crossover between Downton Abbey and The Gilded Age.
It seems that the author may have set the stage for the storylines of both shows to intersect, as we approach the conclusion of season 3 of “The Gilded Age.
The performance depicted Gladys, Bertha and George’s daughter, marrying Hector, Duke of Buckingham. However, this event has led to significant disputes among them.
In conversation with TVLine, Fellowes hinted at the possibility of connecting the characters from The Gilded Age by exploring a crossover involving the United Kingdom as a potential link.
Clearly, since both are currently in England, there seems to be a chance for a collaboration or intersection of events,” he elaborated.

During the hunting season, numerous grand estates across England would serve as temporary homes for various families, who would move around the country during their travels.
As a gamer, I can combine elements whenever I want, truth be told. However, I don’t have any plans for it just yet. So, we’ll have to wait and see what unfolds in the game.
If a crossover occurs, it’s very improbable that you’d recognize the actors portraying the characters as you usually do.

The time period covered by “The Gilded Age” is towards the end of the 1800s, on the other hand, “Downton Abbey” started in 1912 and it has evolved to encompass the 1930s as well.
Additionally, it appears that the third “Downton” film will be called “Downton Abbey: The Final Chapter,” suggesting that this could possibly mark the end of the series for the cast.
Should a crossover event occur, it appears reasonable to propose that one might encounter youthful counterparts of several beloved characters from Downton Abbey, portrayed by fresh talent.
Here’s my take:
In case you’re like me, always on the lookout for a good show to binge, I wanted to let you know that “The Gilded Age” is now streaming on Sky and NOW. And if you’re a fan of period dramas like Downton Abbey, mark your calendars! The grand finale will be gracing our movie screens in September. Enjoy the show!
