The Marvel Cinematic Universe is gaining even more traction with the upcoming season of Daredevil: Born Again, and has several exciting movies and shows planned for 2026. First up, The Punisher: One Last Kill will premiere on Disney+ just a week after the Daredevil: Born Again season finale on May 12th. However, it’s important to note that this release is considered a Marvel Special Presentation, rather than a complete TV series.
Shortly after that, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in July as the next installment in the MCU. As for MCU TV shows, VisionQuest is currently planned for release sometime in 2026, though a specific date hasn’t been announced yet, even after a long development process.
VisionQuest Has Been In Development Since 2022
The new series, VisionQuest, features Paul Bettany returning as Vision, and James Spader again voicing Ultron. It was originally announced in 2022 and takes place after the events of WandaVision, where Wanda Maximoff—also known as the Scarlet Witch—brought Vision back to life using magic.
Throughout the series, it’s discovered that S.W.O.R.D. took Vision’s remains and rebuilt him into a new, white version programmed to defeat Wanda. But Wanda’s original Vision merged his memories with this new being, and the combined Vision flew off to figure out who he truly was.
Okay, so VisionQuest is really diving into White Vision’s head – he’s grappling with who he is now, trying to figure out his identity. And it looks like his journey is unexpectedly starting to connect with the story of Ultron all over again, which is a fascinating twist I didn’t see coming. It sets up some really interesting conflicts and questions about his origins and purpose.
Even though the show was first announced in 2022, it’s taken a long time to move from concept to release. It’s unusual, because Marvel usually plans its projects several years in advance. What’s even more surprising is that filming actually finished in July 2025, and we still don’t have a release date.
Every Other Marvel Shows Upcoming & In Development
Marvel Studios is being very secretive about how the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars movies will reset the cinematic universe. However, several Marvel TV shows are already planned for release, and many more are currently being developed for the future.

Marvel fans can look forward to Spider-Noir, premiering on Prime Video on May 25, 2026. This series, produced by Sony (who hold the majority of Spider-Man’s film and live-action rights), features Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, playing the character Spider-Noir in a 1930s film noir style.
Beyond the main Marvel Cinematic Universe, the second season of X-Men ’97 is coming this summer. Though it’s a fresh start for the classic X-Men: The Animated Series from the 90s, it’s also paving the way for how Marvel will tell stories about mutants, leading into the planned ‘Mutant Saga’ which will follow the ‘Multiverse Saga’ after Avengers: Secret Wars.
The second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is coming to Disney+ in Fall 2026. The show features a young Peter Parker as he learns to control his abilities and battles classic Spider-Man villains.
The third season of Daredevil: Born Again is currently in production and is anticipated to be released in March 2027, about a year after the current season finishes. Leaked set photos are already fueling excitement and speculation about the upcoming episodes.
Fans can likely expect the second season of Wonder Man in either 2027 or 2028. The first season was very well-received, leading Marvel to confirm that a second season was being developed. It’s clear that Marvel has a lot of content planned for release in 2026 and beyond, even after the second season of Daredevil: Born Again finishes airing.
