ABC has temporarily removed Jimmy Kimmel from his show following controversial remarks he made about Charlie Kirk and the topic of assassination.
ABC said Wednesday that Jimmy Kimmel Live! is going on hiatus, with no set date for its return.
Okay, so there’s been a lot of talk about the cancellation of a certain appearance, and I wanted to clarify what happened. It all started when Jimmy Kimmel made a comment about the person accused of shooting Kirk, a 22-year-old named Tyler Robinson. Kimmel suggested Robinson was politically conservative, but investigators have actually found the opposite to be true. They’ve said Robinson leaned far-left and was even dating his transgender roommate. It’s important to get the facts straight, and this seems to be a case of misinformation spreading quickly.
On Monday’s show, Kimmel spoke about the tragic event, saying that supporters of Donald Trump, or the ‘MAGA gang,’ were going to extreme lengths to distance themselves from the person who attacked Charlie Kirk and were trying to use the situation to their political advantage.
The White House lowered the flags to half-staff on Friday, a decision that drew some criticism. However, it’s clear the president is deeply affected by this situation.
The video then showed President Trump, 79, answering questions from reporters after the shooting. One reporter offered their sympathy for the loss of his ‘friend,’ Kirk.

When asked about his well-being, Trump responded that he was doing very well, and added that construction had just begun on a new ballroom for the White House, visible near where the trucks were parked.
Trump continued talking about the ballroom plans, saying the result would ‘be a beauty.’
Kimmel then quipped, ‘Yes, he’s at the fourth stage of grief, construction.’
‘Demolition, construction,’ Kimmel added.
This isn’t the way a grown person deals with the loss of a friend who was murdered. It’s more like how a little kid would react to a dead pet, like a goldfish.
Kimmel followed up by showing a clip of Trump from a September 12th interview on Fox & Friends, where Trump discussed what he was doing when he learned about Kirk’s passing.
I learned they’ve been wanting a ballroom at the White House for 150 years, but they’ve never had one. They currently have to set up tents on the lawn for events, like when President Xi visits, and if it rains, everything gets ruined, Trump explained.
Trump recalled discussing the amazing ballroom design with the architects when he was interrupted with the shocking news that Charlie Kirk had died.
“We then added a stunning chandelier,” Kimmel explained, as the camera focused back on him. “And wall lights that were truly incredible.”
