With this year’s Harvest Festival and a few Halloween-themed events on the way, October is shaping up to be a fantastic month for Pokémon GO players. It’s a month most players won’t want to miss!
Discover what’s new in Pokémon GO this October 2025! We’ve compiled a list of all the upcoming events, raids, Max Battles, and other exciting happenings.
I’m so excited! Besides the regular Halloween stuff, Pokémon GO is also doing something special to celebrate the upcoming release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A. They’re having a whole in-game event just for it, which is awesome!

The Harvest Festival in 2025 will add two Pokémon from Generation 9 to the game: Dipplin and Hydrapple. Currently, we don’t have any information about the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Celebration Event, but we’re hoping it will also introduce new Pokémon-perhaps Mega Dragonite or Mega Raichu X/Y, for example?
October 2025 Max Battles
Mondays are usually quite hectic, but if you find a moment, you can earn Candy and XP by participating in these Max Battles:
- October 6: Dynamax Drilbur
- October 13: Dynamax Bounsweet
- October 20: Dynamax Gastly
- October 27: Dynamax Woobat
Pokémon GO October 2025 Raids

If you’re new to the game or somehow missed out on catching Rayquaza, don’t worry! October is giving us another Raid Day to snag one. And that’s not all – we’re *finally* getting Metagross’ Mega Evolution! I’m pretty sure it’s going to be one of the best Steel-type attackers we’ve seen all year. I can’t wait to add it to my team!
Besides the various Mega Raid teams, you’ll also have a chance to catch Deoxys and Giratina in their different formes, so be sure to participate in those raids too.
Other Pokémon GO highlights this month
As always, October will bring Spotlight Hours – short events that focus on particular Pokémon and give us a chance to connect with the Pokémon community. This month, keep an eye out for Spotlight Hours featuring Ferroseed, Petilil, Gastly, and Sinistea.
As a huge fan, I’m so hyped for the major game update coming in October! It’s going to raise the level cap for everyone. Starting October 15th, we’ll all get a level adjustment, and the new max level will be 80. Get ready to grind even more to unlock all those awesome new perks! I can’t wait!
To join as many events and raids as possible, use the Niantic’s Campfire app to connect with other Pokémon GO players in your area. Attending player meetups will unlock lots of rewards and bonuses!
