The anticipation for the August Community Day Classic is palpable in the community, and while I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Beldum, I’ll be ready for whatever Pokémon Niantic decides to throw our way.

During the ongoing Pokémon GO season, there’s a strong focus on flying Pokémon. This trend persists well into August. Among these flying creatures, Moltres and Incarnate Forme Thunderus have gained significant popularity.
Despite going against the norm, Xerneas makes an appealing addition. This Fairy-type Pokemon in Pokémon GO boasts impressive power and is definitely worth your time and effort raiding towards the end of August 2024. A strong lineup for the final week of the month’s raid events.

August 2024: Pokémon GO’s Mega Raids in August are an exciting prospect. Additionally, following the recent Bagon Community Day Classic event, the ability to earn Mega Salamence energy is a welcome bonus.
Shadow Raids
In August 2024, during Pokémon GO’s Shadow Raids, players will have the opportunity to encounter and potentially capture a powerful Shadow Suicune. Remarkably, the Shiny variant of this Shadow Pokémon is also set to be released. Engaging in a group raid with other trainers could prove to be an engaging and rewarding experience within Pokémon GO this month.
Other highlights
During August 2024, Pokémon GO’s Spotlight Hours will showcase a variety of Pokémon as usual. Notably, these Pokémon are particularly beneficial for trainer battles (PvP), making it an excellent reason to get outside and catch them. Among the featured creatures is Drilbur, which evolves into Excadrill – an effective raider.
