As a huge fan of fashion and the British royal family, I was absolutely thrilled to see Princess Catherine gracing the final day of Wimbledon 2024 with her elegant presence. Her arrival at the iconic tennis championship was not just a treat for sports enthusiasts but also for those of us who follow her every sartorial move closely.
On July 14th, Wimbledon witnessed a significant day as it marked the last day of the tournament and the championship finals for both the Men’s Singles and Mixed Doubles events. Additionally, this momentous occasion was graced by the presence of Princess Catherine of Wales who paid a visit to the esteemed facility.
In the second instance in the year 2024, Princess Catherine attended a public engagement. During this occasion, she had the pleasure of being accompanied by her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and her sister, Pippa Matthews. After the Men’s championship was decided, she presented the trophy to the victor and extended congratulations to both finalists.
Given that Princess Catherine is known for her fashionable attire, it’s no surprise that many are intrigued to find out what she wore on the last day of Wimbledon.
Princess Catherine was a style icon on the final day of Wimbledon 2024

Based on reports from royal fashion observers at X (previously known as Twitter), Princess Catherine donned a midi dress in lilac hue by Safiyaa Cecilia. Notably, this particular dress underwent alterations tailored to the princess. The neckline was raised, transforming it from a V-neck into a high neckline. Shortly following her public appearance in the customized gown, Safiyaa made the high-necked version available for purchase on their website, priced at £1,295.
Princess Catherine elegantly combined a midi length dress from an unspecified source with beige slingback pumps from Camilla Elphick. To complete her look, she accessedorized with a handbag in the same hue from LK Bennett.
The Princess of Wales, also known as Catherine, Duke of Cambridge, maintained a refined and polished appearance, starting from her jewelry. She wore two bangles on each wrist, her wedding ring, and understated earrings. By selecting these neutral accessories, Catherine ensured that the focus remained on her stunning dress.
The princess continues to turn heads with her stylish wardrobe. It’s no surprise that the Safiyaa gown she selected, in its original and altered forms, is likely to run out of stock soon.
“Which outfit of Princess Catherine at the Wimbledon finals did you prefer? And what is your take on the altered neckline design of the dress?”
