What are you watching this weekend? Here are 3 great choices! (Aug. 9-11)

As a gamer with a soft spot for both superheroes and ninja turtles, I must say, this weekend‘s lineup has me more excited than a level 90 character waiting for a new expansion pack!

As a long-time lover of pop culture and someone who always keeps up with the latest trends, I can’t help but get excited about what’s coming up this weekend! The return of the beloved turtles from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has me feeling nostalgic, and I can’t wait to see how their story continues. And if you’re a fan of finance-themed shows, then the return of ruthless bankers on Billions is definitely worth checking out. Lastly, if you’ve been hooked on a Netflix series like me, then the final season of Stranger Things will be a bittersweet end to an amazing journey. So grab your popcorn and get ready for a weekend full of entertainment!

  • The Umbrella Academy season 4 (final season), Netflix
  • Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles season 1, Paramount+
  • Industry season 3, HBO and Max

Which of these three shows are you the most excited to watch? Let’s break down more details.

The Umbrella Academy season 4

In simple terms, the fourth and concluding season of “The Umbrella Academy,” which blends elements of superhero action and family drama, is currently available for streaming on Netflix. This series is inspired by the comic book series of the same name penned by Gerard Way. The story revolves around a group of seven kids, all of whom were adopted by Sir Reginald, a wealthy man who groomed them to become superheroes. If you’ve been following along since the start, you’re aware that this team of heroes has made quite a journey!

Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Coming up next is the first season of “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” now available for streaming on Paramount+. While it’s not necessary to watch the film “TMNT: Mutant Mayhem,” I strongly suggest you do so! The Paramount+ series unfolds a few months after the movie’s events, and it shares many of the same characters (with most of the voice actors from the movie reprising their roles). It continues the story in the same vein. All 12 episodes were released on the platform on Friday, Aug. 9.

Industry season 3

As a long-time fan of financial dramas, I can hardly contain my excitement for the return of Industry! Having watched the series since its debut, I’ve grown fond of the characters and their complex relationships within the cutthroat world of finance. The shameless and ruthless bankers are back for a third season, and it promises to be the most intense yet.
