Horror enthusiasts in the UK can look forward to experiencing “Together” starting from this week. It’s an unmissable body horror film featuring the real-life pair, Alison Brie and Dave Franco, portraying a couple who find themselves in some disturbingly unusual circumstances.
In simpler terms, the terrifying new movie premiered with a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes and maintains a remarkable 90% rating since its launch in the US. The film “Together” features memorable scenes, with both Brie and Franco giving intense, dedicated performances.
But as wild and dark as Together gets, it actually had a benefit to their actual relationship.
Franco shared with Digital Spy before the movie’s UK release on Friday that people have often asked if, when acting in scenes together, he brings any of it home or finds it strange to be around each other.
In essence, these characters have such unique relationships compared to ours that, by the close of each day, we found ourselves grateful for the strength and healthiness of our own bond in contrast.

In addition to our on-screen chemistry shining brightly in the heartwarming series, “Together,” my partner and I ventured into another thrilling project – a chilling horror movie. This spine-tingling masterpiece was brought to life under the guidance of the talented first-time director, Michael Shanks.
Brie considers their previous shared screen appearances and history as a factor that made their latest collaboration “timely.
Over time, we’ve created a kind of short-hand for each other on set. Looking back at my earlier jobs – “Disaster Artist” being the first, followed by “The Little Hours” – it felt like we were gradually diving into the deep end together.
He seemed as if he might act in a manner that could be intimidating, given we were both on set and working on a film as intense as ‘Together‘, but thankfully, that wasn’t the case.

Five or six years back, we embarked on these tasks for the first time off-camera – be it writing, directing, or producing. We were figuring out how to manage them, and we’ve been improving our skills ever since.
For this project, we were fortunate to have Michael Shanks making his directorial debut. Though he’s a fresh talent, his creativity is outstanding. Our role was to support him by taking care of logistical complexities, allowing him to concentrate solely on his creative vision, rather than being overwhelmed by administrative matters.
Together is released in UK cinemas on 15 August.
