As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Sam Smith’s performance at the Proms was nothing short of spectacular. Having had the opportunity to witness numerous performances across various genres and styles, I can confidently say that Sam’s ability to captivate an audience is truly exceptional.

There was much excitement leading up to the performance – people were eager not only to see which songs Sam Smith would sing, but also to catch a glimpse of the extravagant costume they’d be wearing.

In the final analysis, the 32-year-old vocalist chose a more low-key outfit for the fully booked concert at the Proms.

As a die-hard admirer, I’ve been utterly captivated by the recent live performances of this trailblazing singer, who bravely identified as non-binary in 2019. Their latest acts on stage, which include dancing in a corset and baring their bottom, have undeniably stirred up quite a buzz. However, these bold choices seem to have raised some eyebrows among traditionalists, causing a ripple of concern regarding the upcoming gig at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall.

At the 2023 Brit Awards, one of the singer’s standout ensembles was a striking black latex balloon suit designed by Harri, which generated significant conversation.

With promises of an unexpected-free event, Smith kicked off the spectacle donning a stylish black polka dot, double-breasted suit designed by Andreas Kronthaler, Vivienne Westwood’s creative director. He paired it with a long bow tie and a crisp white shirt beneath.

Smith barely stopped smiling as they joined the BBC Concert Orchestra on Friday night for what was billed as a retrospective look at the singer’s seminal 2014 debut solo album, In The Lonely Hour.

During the performance, Lay Me Down was one of the songs played. For the second part, the singer changed into a long, red velvet dress made by Vivienne Westwood, complete with matching silk gloves. This segment was reminiscent of Judy Garland’s style.

They closed the show with Somewhere Over The Rainbow, a nod to Garland’s famous 1961 concert at Carnegie Hall, one of Smith’s favourite performances.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: “I was thrilled when I was invited, and I felt truly honored. The atmosphere was electrifying, with the crowd singing along and cheering. It was simply delightful!”
