West End Girl Lily Allen is on the hunt for a new home in Notting Hill after leaving David Harbour’s New York townhouse – and seeking treatment for ‘shopping addiction’

She sang about being a West End Girl and now Lily Allen appears intent on living like one.

After her album, West End Girl, proved successful, the singer is looking to buy a luxurious new home in either Notting Hill – where she previously lived – or the popular celebrity neighborhood of Primrose Hill. She has a budget of up to £5 million.

Lily Allen’s album reached number two on the charts, and combined with her successful UK tour, it reportedly earned the 40-year-old singer a significant amount of money.

According to a source, Lily is spending money and actively searching for a new house. She’s eager to start a new chapter following her breakup and wants to find a place that’s perfect for her and her two daughters. She’s currently viewing several properties to find the right fit.

According to friends, the actress plans to rent out the West London apartment she purchased last year, around the time her marriage to David Harbour started experiencing difficulties.

The actor from Stranger Things and his wife lived in a Brooklyn brownstone, but she moved out due to difficulties in their marriage.

Her search for a new home is happening at a time when she’s been criticized for extravagant spending, something she’s even admitted is hard to justify.

The singer recently shared that she was on a compulsive shopping spree and is now getting help for a spending addiction.

Oh my gosh, she just had to show off! She was all, ‘I’m just admiring my ring,’ but it’s not just any ring – it’s this absolutely massive diamond and emerald thing! She called it a ‘little present’ to herself, which is hilarious because it’s HUGE! I’m so jealous, it’s breathtaking!

It’s important to celebrate and enjoy special occasions. I feel incredibly successful – like a billionaire, in fact! I’ve been celebrating by buying myself some nice things, including handbags, jewelry, and a new car.

She spent lavishly, including a £120,000 Porsche and a £16,500 Hermes handbag, which she was later spotted carrying while walking in East London.

The singer shared that she’s been in therapy – specifically, a treatment called EMDR – for the last four months.

But that did not stop her from decamping to the Caribbean for Christmas.

Allen took her two daughters, 13-year-old Ethel and 12-year-old Marnie, on a luxurious vacation to the Cayman Islands. She shares the girls with her ex-husband, Sam Cooper, a 47-year-old builder.

She was joined by two close friends: Dylan Mulvaney, a 29-year-old influencer, and Joe Locke, 22, who stars in the Netflix series Heartstopper.

Videos from the vacation showed the singer driving around the islands in a bright pink Jet Car, which costs between £300 and £300 per hour to rent.

This is a stark change from 2016, when she had to sell her cherished £4.2 million Cotswolds home. A lawsuit from a former tour manager for a substantial sum of money left her unable to cover her debts, forcing the sale.

In an October episode of her podcast, Miss Me?, she described having a dream home in the countryside, a beautiful house that she truly loved.

I put a lot of work into making it beautiful – it was a real passion project for me. I was incredibly proud of it, and I had always envisioned raising my family there.

Okay, so my tax bill arrived, and honestly, I was desperate to work something out with HMRC. I really thought if they’d let me pay it off in smaller chunks, I could manage, but they wouldn’t budge! It was awful – I had no choice but to put my house up for sale. It’s just… everything I have is tied up in that place, and now it might be gone because of this.
