Former West Coast Eagles player Brad Sheppard and his wife Ellen are expecting their first child.
The retired AFL player, 33, shared the exciting news to social media for Mothers Day on Sunday.
He shared a cherished photograph of himself, Ellen, and their sonogram image all caught in a whirlwind of poses at the sunset-kissed beach, with him clutching their ultrasound snapshot.
With a broad grin on his face, Brad stood proudly beside his radiant spouse, gently supporting her expanding waistline. Meanwhile, his wife flaunted her pregnancy gracefully in a snug, sunny-yellow gown that accentuated her baby bump.
He captioned the post with some heartfelt words: ‘The most exciting chapter yet’.
Brittany Bown, fiancée of Nic Naitanui from the West Coast Eagles, excitedly expressed her congratulations, saying you will make an exceptional parent.
‘So excited for you both,’ added Eagles midfielder Elliot Yeo’s partner Tess Goodbody.
Last summer, in July, Brad tied the knot with his nutritionist partner in an awe-inspiring wedding held in Western Australia.
The pair announced the happy news to Instagram alongside images of the glamorous occasion.

Ellen captivated everyone in an exquisite strapless dress by Pallas Couture, boasting a bold thigh split that accentuated her classic high-heeled sandals.
In a flurry of charm, she and her dashing spouse, elegantly dressed in a timeless tuxedo, captured heartwarming moments together amidst a breathtaking sunset backdrop, as their camera clicked away.
Multiple clips and snapshots from the celebration demonstrated that the couple, along with their dear ones, were enjoying themselves immensely by dancing and having a fantastic time.
The guests moved to an expansive outdoor dance area, lifting the bride and groom up so they could enjoy a lively group dance together.
In May 2023, the proposal took place between Ellen and Brad, with the ex-footballer choosing a picturesque beach as the location for his heartfelt gesture.
In July 2020, Brad began a new relationship with Ellen after parting ways with Scherri-Lee Biggs.
