It appears that Marvel Studios is becoming more open to exploring the supernatural aspects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following the on-screen debut of popular villain Mephisto. Consequently, there’s good news for fans about the potential return of “Werewolf by Night 2” on Disney+, after a long wait of over two years since its initial premiere.
What is the new update for Werewolf by Night 2?
As per recent updates, Marvel Studios seems to be working on several projects that are expected to pave the way for their upcoming Midnight Sons film. One of these projects is rumored to be a sequel titled Werewolf by Night 2, which could potentially bring back Gael García Bernal as Jack Russell, Laura Donnelly as Elsa Bloodstone, and Man-Thing in the MCU. The 2022 TV special has proven to be one of Marvel Studios’ most highly-acclaimed offerings on Disney+, boasting a Tomatometer score of 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Previous speculations hint that the anticipated Midnight Sons film may have already found its scriptwriter. The specifics about the storyline are currently confidential, but whispers suggest the studio could be considering Ghost Rider as the main team’s head. This character was previously portrayed by Academy Award-winning actor Nicolas Cage in Sony Pictures’ live-action Ghost Rider films. Notably, a Samurai version of this character made a brief, silent appearance in the finale of Disney+’s animated series What If…?, hinting at possible future developments.
The initial comic book collection revolved around a group of supernatural champions, including Ghost Rider, Blade, Moon Knight, Elsa Bloodstone, Doctor Strange, and others.
