The lawyer pointed out that several issues have surfaced due to some parties such as legal representatives of specific family members, Williams’ former spouse, and others, expressing intentions to contest not only the guardianship but also Morrissey’s position as the guardian.
Approximately a month ago, the news emerged following sightings of Williams and prominent lawyer Tacopina exiting a restaurant in New York City. They disclosed that legal action was imminent.
According to Tacopina’s statement to TMZ, those who are in charge of her imprisonment will be made to answer for their actions. There is no doubt about this fact.
He didn’t hold back, adding: ‘This guardian process is scary. She was misdiagnosed.’
Tacopina went on to say, ‘I hope we move forward with justice next. Frankly, this procedure has taken far too long and it’s downright frustrating.’
Pointing at Wendy, he continued, ‘Meet Wendy, the very same Wendy with whom we’ve exchanged words for about half a year. She’s none other than Wendy Williams, your familiar face on TV. Just as I need special care, she too deserves to be in a suitable facility.’

In 2022, Williams found herself under the supervision of Morrissey. A stunning court document filed in November revealed that Morrissey asserted that Williams had become permanently disabled, a consequence of her ongoing struggle with dementia.
In March, Wendy decided to take a decisive action by hiring a fresh legal team to advocate for her liberty and contest the court’s decision regarding her arrangements.
Instead of her, the celebrity engaged Tacopina, a lawyer fresh from representing A$AP Rocky, to aid in breaking free from her three-year legal arrangement.
