Previously known as the host, aged 60, who assumed the role of a court-appointed guardian in 2022 following reports of her having frontotemporal dementia and primary progressive aphasia, displayed a cheerful expression while gazing upon the city from her residence.

During the uncommon occurrence at the facility, the star was radiantly dressed in a white blouse and bold red lipstick.

This information follows the disclosure that she had stepped outdoors merely two times during a span of thirty days, while under her caretakers’ supervision.

In the previous year, they shared her diagnosis with everyone, but Williams strongly disagrees that she suffers from dementia.

This month, it came to light that Williams is making efforts to terminate her guardianship. She has reportedly filed an affidavit with a judge requesting the termination of the agreement, as per TMZ’s reports.

Since the year 2022, Sabrina Morrissey, who was appointed by the court to oversee my affairs, has been managing both my personal welfare and financial matters on my behalf.

According to sources, it’s been reported that she will undergo an evaluation by a physician chosen by her legal team on the following Tuesday, to assess whether she is now capable of managing her affairs independently again.

According to sources close to the situation, they mentioned to the publication that her personal lawyers, whom she recently engaged to terminate her guardianship following her decision to dismiss her court-assigned attorney, are said to submit an urgent petition asking a judge to review and potentially end the guardianship.

Information surfaced regarding the circumstances that led to Williams, who was spotted sporting a revamped appearance in Miami over the weekend, experiencing limited mobility within her assisted living facility lately.

On Monday, it was reported by sources to TMZ that she was transferred to a stricter memory care section within the facility following an incident where she is said to have become intoxicated at a restaurant located inside the premises.

DailyMail.com has attempted to reach Williams’ guardian for comment. 

According to reports by TMZ, Wendy might have been transferred to a stricter area within her assisted living home, potentially limiting her visits outside the building.

Based on reports from a staff member who has interacted frequently with Wendy since her arrival, it was originally arranged for her to occupy a room on the third floor of the building, which allows its inhabitants the freedom to come and go at will.

Yet, her time there took a turn for the worse as she spent an extended lunch at the restaurant and bar situated on the upper level of the facility during her initial period.

As reported by the employee, Wendy consumed multiple alcoholic beverages and exhibited signs of intoxication for an extended period.

It is said that the supervisors at the facility found out about her intoxicated incident, and they were displeased because she had been given alcohol, considering her history of struggling with excessive drinking.

As an over-the-moon fan, I can’t help but share this intriguing piece of news. After the boisterous lunch incident, it seems Wendy was moved to a fresh abode on the fifth floor’s Memory Unit within the facility. The shift is quite mysterious and has stirred up a whirlwind of speculation among us dedicated fans.

Since a significant number of residents there experience dementia and memory problems, they can’t operate the elevator independently.

At the new location, Wendy wasn’t allowed to visit the restaurant for drinks; however, it remains uncertain whether she must stay on that specific floor at all times or if she can step out with proper supervision.

Yet, an issue arose during the reassignment process when it turned out that the memory unit had no vacant rooms available. Consequently, Wendy seemed to have been compelled to remain in her third-floor room, with employees stationed at the door to prevent her from exiting.

Yet, an issue occurred during the reallocation process. The memory unit seemed to lack available spaces, causing Wendy to be temporarily assigned to her third-floor room. Employees were stationed outside her door to ensure she didn’t exit.

Based on what the source claims, staff members at the establishment reportedly deceived the talk show guest by asserting that the restaurant was undergoing renovations when in reality, it seemed to be operational throughout the period.

Following a few days, it’s said that a room became available on the fifth floor, enabling her to be transferred there. Ever since then, she has been residing on this floor.

It’s troubling to learn about Wendy being kept in a situation where doubts about truthfulness have arisen, especially since she insists that her memory remains unaffected.

‘Wendy doesn’t have good and bad days. She’s the same all the time,’ they claimed to TMZ. 

‘You can tell her something today and two weeks later she’ll remember it. Her memory is fine.’ 

On a Wednesday, Wendy submitted a sworn statement asking the judge managing her guardianship trial to terminate the agreement, according to TMZ’s report.

According to the official agreement, it appears that Williams declared she is once again able to manage her own affairs autonomously, and she stated that she no longer needs someone appointed as her guardian.

She has a guardianship overseen by Sabrina Morrissey, which was instituted in 2022.

She’s not quite there yet, as she needs to complete a few more stages to terminate the guardianship. Ultimately, it will be up to her to convince the judge if she wants to regain her independence.

To disprove the earlier diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia, Williams will now strive to demonstrate that she is not suffering from this condition as suggested by previous doctor’s assessments.

In my affirmation, I declared that I’m not experiencing any neurological issues. As I shared with TMZ, I have an upcoming appointment with a physician on Tuesday for a fresh examination, hoping it will corroborate this fact.

Significantly, Frontotemporal Dementia is a persistent and advancing disorder. Consequently, Wendy Williams, the previous host of The Wendy Williams Show, expresses optimism that her observed improvements in functionality may signal that she isn’t afflicted by this condition.

Recently, Williams brought on board a new lawyer to assist in terminating the guardianship, who also plays a role in choosing the new physician that she will consult with.

Based on what’s been reported, her lawyer intends to submit an Urgent Motion for a Hearing the day following the tests. This action could compel the judge to consider terminating the guardianship.

She is optimistic that the judge will concur with her wish and bring an immediate conclusion to the matter, but if they reject the petition and maintain the current guardianship setup, Williams plans to ask for her case to be presented before a jury who can decide whether she is capable of self-care and managing her own finances without requiring a guardian.

Williams has been discussing, in a recent conversation with TMZ, what she thinks were the reasons behind her becoming subject to a guardianship.

On the 2 Angry Men podcast, she disclosed her intention to head to Miami this weekend, as it’s where a number of her relatives reside, in order to commemorate her father’s 94th birthday.

This journey signifies that it’s been months since she last saw her family, yet this occasion will also bring about a meeting with her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., once more.

Previously, it was disclosed that the management of Williams’ affairs was terminated following a series of significant transactions being withdrawn from her account at Wells Fargo, which appeared to be unauthorized by her.

She asserts that her son Kevin, among others, executed the withdrawals; however, it remains ambiguous whether she believes he collaborated with others to steal her funds.

For his part, her son has denied any wrongdoing.

According to Williams, in a video interview for their new documentary Saving Wendy, she stated that her son had gone beyond acceptable limits. He was misusing my funds without giving me any information about it.

She mentioned that the suspected activity led to her account being temporarily blocked by the bank, preventing any possible theft, yet simultaneously denying her access to her funds.

Upon being queried about who was providing her with financial support, Williams started to tear up and responded, ‘My son is truly kind-hearted. He’s the one helping me financially.’

‘But at this point, he is a horrible person to me,’ she continued.

Williams asserted that it was possible other individuals could have been interacting with her son, spending time at her Miami apartment.

In conversation, it was brought up that Kevin appeared to be involved in a suspicious deal. Originally, he claimed he had agreed to lease a boat for approximately $1,500. However, later reports suggest the boat was rented out for an astonishing $130,000. Wells Fargo seems to believe this occurred, yet Kevin tried to shift the blame to the bank. His mother, though, wasn’t convinced by his excuse.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the judge overseeing Williams case said in September 2024 that, ‘While Mr. Hunter, [her son, Kevin] apologized for past mistakes and inappropriate behavior, the court is not convinced that he can keep her safe and wouldn’t willingly or unwittingly expose her to financial exploitation.’ 

Williams noted that she would be seeing her son at her father’s birthday — assuming he shows up.
