We’ll Come as One
Geri Halliwell, formerly known as Ginger Spice, seems to be suggesting strongly that the original Spice Girls lineup might be getting back together again, making this their most explicit hint yet.
The singer 52, formed the band in 1994 with Mel B, Melanie C, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham.
Ever since their split, whispers have circulated about a potential reunion. Most recently, Mel B has expressed her excitement once more about the prospect of embarking on yet another joint tour together. As a lifestyle expert, I’m always keeping my ear to the ground for such updates!
In a recent chat, Geri expressed optimism about their relationship, contrary to previous reports suggesting tension between them and Mel B.
She shared with The Times: “My aspiration is for us to reunite as a united front. I believe it’s more considerate to join forces as one.
‘Something is on its way. We’ll unite together. Our affection for one another runs deep. I cherish them, I worry for them, and our collective wish is for the best possible outcomes for all of us.’
‘Together, we experienced something truly significant. Our mutual faith and trust in one another has always been a breathtaking aspect of our relationship.’

She also confirmed that the five of them do have a group chat but wouldn’t reveal the name of it.
Following a suggestion from fellow Spice Girl Melanie C, there’s a possibility that the band might organize something remarkable next year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their first album, “Spice”.
The girl group last toured together in 2020 as a foursome, with only Victoria missing out.
In my recollection, the last time I saw Emma, Melanie Brown (Mel B), Melanie Chisholm (Mel C), Victoria Beckham, and Geri Halliwell performing together as a quintet was during the grand opening of the London 2012 Olympics.
During a recent conversation with Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1, Melanie C hinted: “Something must be prepared to celebrate the 30-year milestone since the release of ‘Wannabe’.
‘Once a Spice Girl, always a Spice Girl.
‘Everyone experiences similar feelings, however, it’s time for us to collaborate since we understand that the only way forward is by setting plans in motion to ensure everything runs smoothly.’
‘We have to start making the plans right now and putting them into action. So fingers crossed.’

Instead of waiting for someone else to act, she suggested that it could be her and Mel B who take the lead, expressing it like this: “I believe Mel B and I will likely enter with high energy, urging: ‘Let’s go! The time is now!’
The fans of the ’90s band were delighted when it appeared that their long-held dreams of another reunion might still be possible, despite earlier speculations suggesting that a bitter disagreement among two band members had dashed those hopes.
In November, it was reported that Geri had decided not to participate in a significant Netflix biography project, which would have paid each of the five band members around one million pounds apiece.
As reported by The Sun, the streaming service allegedly informed the band that if they couldn’t agree, the production would proceed without their involvement, similar to how the series The Crown is made with minimal input from real-life characters portrayed on screen.
According to a source, executives want everyone involved, encouraging maximum input – given that they’re like the modern-day pop icons.
However, Netflix dared to disregard the preferences of actual monarchy and produced The Crown anyway, indicating that they aren’t shy about standing on their own when necessary.

Since the project is just beginning, there’s ample opportunity to bring all five Spice Girls on board.
In November, Geri’s spouse, Christian Horner, had to refute allegations that he was responsible for halting the band’s television production.
According to him, he shared with the Press Association news agency that there’s been a great deal of speculation regarding various topics, however, there are definitively no plans in place for creating a family documentary.
‘Netflix provides plenty of backstage glimpses, so I’m unsure where this new report is originating from.’
