From August 11th through the 13th, a grueling group stage took place, featuring 16 teams fiercely competing for valuable spots in the TFT playoffs. These teams were strategically divided into four groups, and players engaged in best-of-three (Bo3), double-elimination bouts. Weibo Gaming reigned supreme during this phase, securing victories over prominent opponents like T1, Al Qadsiah Esports, and Team Vitality.

The winning streak persisted during the playoffs that took place from August 14th to 15th. Just like the group stage, the playoffs initiated with Best-of-Three (Bo3) matches, followed by the best-of-five (Bo5) grand final. First, Weibo Gaming defeated EVOS in a 2-0 series, then faced AEGIS, ending up 2-1. In the ultimate showdown, Weibo Gaming played against Virtus.pro and won 3-1.

In the latter part of the competition, Saopimi, Yao “LingBaoTianZun” Chuanheng, Wu “Guan” Jinxin, and Zhang “TianLong” Tianlong delivered outstanding performances, which helped their team to dominate and claim a significant victory. Their strategic decision to push forward at full speed was their key strength, and it was their adaptability that made them stand out against their competitors.

Saopimi dedicates MVP award to Weibo Gaming

During a post-game interview, LingBaoTianZun shared his thoughts when his team clinched the championship.

To secure their win, Weibo Gaming gained 1,000 Club Points that propelled them up the leaderboard in the Club Championship. The program offers a prize pool of $27,000,000 USD distributed among the competing esports teams for EWC 2025. Only one team will emerge as the champion, and the 1,000 Club Points increased Weibo Gaming’s tally to 1,950 points, placing them eighth on the board.
