The series chronicles the story of a young teenager coping with his father’s passing following a fatal car accident. As he navigates life with his friends, they encounter an enigmatic woman who hints that his father may still be alive and that his vanishing could be linked to someone in their circle.
Over on Rotten Tomatoes, the show has an 88% rating from 25 reviews.
Instead of saying, “It feels odd to call an adaptation of a Harlan Coben thriller ‘charming,'” one could rephrase it as, “Despite being based on a Harlan Coben thriller, the eight-part series Shelter is surprisingly endearing.” This way, the text maintains its original meaning but sounds more natural and easy to understand.
