Weary Justin Timberlake Continues ‘Trainwreck’ World Tour

After years of being involved in scandals, Justin Timberlake appeared tired as he stepped onto a private plane during his ongoing global tour, long after his days as the shining star of pop music.

On Tuesday, the ex-member of NSYNC, now 44 years old, appeared a bit rundown as he arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Justin kept the hood on his sweater up to try to cover up his tired face as he, his band, and crew touched down in South America after boarding from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

His stoic face featured quite a bit of grizzled scruff on it as he lugged along a backpack.

Justin donned a full-body, green hoodie with a striking pattern, while a pair of stylish sunglasses dangled from his hoodie collar.

He then hopped into the back of a black SUV as he continued his long travel day ahead of his concert on Friday in San Isidro on ‘trainwreck’ The Forget Tomorrow World Tour which has been marred in controversy.

The outing came weeks after  fans were unable to sing along with his flop new song at a Minnesota concert on February 24 that earned scathing reviews.

Audience members who attended the pop star’s concert in St. Paul on Monday expressed disappointment as the artist mainly played new songs that seemed to be of little interest to the crowd.

While fans were hoping to indulge in nostalgia and see Timberlake perform his most famous hits, they were instead forced to endure ‘meh’ material, per a scathing review by the Minnesota Star Tribune.

Timberlake was slammed for performing as many as 11 songs from his most recent album, Everything I Thought It Was, which was a commercial failure. He was apparently embarrassed when he asked fans to sing the album’s single, but the crowd didn’t know the words to the song, which made little impact.

Fans were also disappointed that a ‘monolith’ tour prop Timberlake has used during the encore at previous shows failed to make an appearance.

Instead, the singer performed hits like Mirrors in a secondary stage that some fans complained was not central enough.

One fan said on Facebook that Timberlake ‘spent quite a bit of time on a second stage at the back of the arena, and finished out the show back there, so lost a little luster for anyone toward the front.’

The St Paul show was the penultimate US show of Timberlake’s Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which has been mired by scandals including his DWI arrest last summer.

As noted by the Star Tribune, Timberlake was supposed to perform in the city last Halloween, but postponed the show due to bronchitis and laryngitis.

The outlet acknowledged Timberlake’s ‘natural showmanship, deft musicianship and contagious energy’ still managed to entertain the audience at the Xcel Energy Center.

Timberlake has faced various embarrassments since the tour began – in December was performing in Nashville when a harness around his waistline drew attention to to his crotch area.

As the camera drew nearer, it focused on the singer, who appeared embarrassed, pulling slightly at his garment, seemingly attempting to hide an unexpected protrusion.

Naturally, social media exploded and trolls quickly pounced, poking fun at the situation.

Last June Timberlake accepted a plea deal following his DUI arrest in the Hamptons.

In an awkward turn of events, the singer was caught on camera telling a police officer, unaware of his identity, that the arrest could potentially derail his global tour.

The once-beloved former N-Sync member has had a rough couple of years after his treatment of ex-girlfriend Britney Spears was put under a microscope during her conservatorship battle.

Spears made explosive claims about their tumultuous romance in her 2023 memoir, The Woman In Me.

The woman asserted that Justin pressured her to terminate the pregnancy and labeled her as a “shameful woman who had shattered the image of America’s beloved idol” when they parted ways.

The manner in which Justin Timberlake handled the incident involving Janet Jackson during her wardrobe malfunction at the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show has also been subject to criticism.

In the ensuing years, the backlash significantly impacted Janet’s professional journey, with the scandal casting a long shadow over the remainder of her act that evening.

In the subsequent years, Jackson encountered a career ban, whereas Timberlake’s career progressed without interruption – however, he too has later had to confront accountability issues.

Public disapproval arose due to perceived unfair treatment of Jackson, which later resulted in Timberlake issuing an overdue apology to both Spears and Jackson in the year 2021, as the public’s dissatisfaction grew.

He stated that he was ‘deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right.’

The artist behind “Cry Me A River admitted that he had failed in numerous instances, including this one, and acknowledged that he had profited from a system that tolerates sexism and racism.

Justin will embark in additional international dates and make stops in countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Norway and Denmark – with the tour concluding on June 14, 2025.

In 2012, Justin got married to actress Jessica Biel, and together they have two kids – Silas, who is now nine years old, and Phineas, aged four.
