The World Cup wrapped up last night. Following the Super Bowl’s tradition, organizers put on a halftime show featuring popular musicians, as the tournament was hosted in the United States.
The musical performance included a star-studded lineup with Madonna, Shakira, Justin Bieber, BTS, and even the Muppets! It was put together by Coldplay’s Chris Martin and ran for almost 12 minutes.
But while fans may have praised it as “10/10”, some big names were less enthusiastic.
During the BBC’s broadcast of the final match, Gabby Logan asked Wayne Rooney what he thought of the halftime show, and he gave a very honest answer.
He admitted he didn’t enjoy it, saying, “I like a lot of those artists, but honestly, I thought it was terrible.” He was relieved when it was over.

Gabby jumped in to joke that “honest reviews” are one thing the BBC provides.
The always-opinionated Liam Gallagher chimed in, writing: “This is like a bad trip.”
He joked that the halftime show was so intense, he was glad he was feeling spiritually grounded, otherwise it might have been too much to handle.
“It’s absolutely insane behavior, it’s cuckoo with a capital K,” he also said in a reply.
The halftime show included a surprise appearance by football stars Ronaldinho and Ronaldo, alongside actors Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt from Ted Lasso, and everyone’s favorite number-counter, Count von Count from Sesame Street.
Okay, so before the game kicked off, Jennifer Hudson absolutely crushed the national anthem. Then, Robbie Williams, Nicole Scherzinger, and this amazing Italian singer, Laura Pausini, performed the official FIFA song, ‘Desire’. It really got me hyped for the match!
The game between Spain and Argentina ended 0-0 after regular time. However, Spain’s Ferran Torres scored in extra time, winning the World Cup for his team.
